Are here with a couple of work colleagues. Restaurant is in a great location with onsite parking. Really like the decor of the restaurant and the atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Staff are friendly and efficient. Wasn't a massive fan of the food, quite bland and nothing which was overall impressive.

Heard great things about the place but was fairly disappointed by the food: the satay skewers were nice enough but the Thai Red Curry I got was probably the blandest one I've ever had. Portions were decent but it had basically no flavour. To be fair, the location, staff and service were all excellent and the reviews are normally excellent... More

Food was horrible yet overpriced! Service was slow. Will not be returning here. Portions were very little and it was poorly presented. Nothing interesting to say about the decor. The staff were friendly and tried their best to accommodate us hence the one star! To be short, the club orange was the best thing about the whole meal!!!

Just back from a weekend in Galway and we were recommended this gem by our hotel! It was very quiet with very little people in the restraint when we arrived around 8.30pm, so I was a little worried then! Boy was I wrong! The food and service here is unreal! There was 4 of us so we had a wide... More

If you know Chinese food then you're going to be disappointed here. It was awful. Chicken was tough, beef green pepper black bean sauce was an inedible stew (see photo) and the yuk sung had way too many red chills (never had them in this dish before). Thankfully the prosecco was good and that's where it ended. Sorry Royal villa... More

Royal villa never fails to impress. Value offers mid-week are great when can't be bothered to cook! Views are best in city- even on a wet stormy day!! Staff are always friendly and helpful!!

There are in fact two royal villa restaurants. The other being in oranmore. Both are excellent. If it is Chinese food you are after, look no further than here. Very reasonably priced with delicious food and great views.

this is a Chinese for English people who do not want to eat Chinese with bowls and chopsticks. a bit shocked when I asked for bowls and chopsticks and they brought me out a pile of cutlery. they eventually understood. when I asked for food warmers they said they have changed their crockery and they do not use them any... Hi Deborah, Thanks for taking the time to review. I wouldn't think its fair to say that we are a "Chinese for English people" and to be honest that's a strange comment to make about us since we're based in the West of Ireland.... We are a family business that has over 30 years experience pleasing the people of Galway... More
