We arrived in Galway and after getting settled in ventured out to the Quay Street area. We wandered into the Dail Bar, located in the Latin Quarter. The decor is classical pub style and the layout cozy but spacious. The bar is very well stocked and the food choices excellent. The food was high quality and the drinks very good... More

Our travel guide booked us a reservation at this restaurant. We had a large group of 16 hungry travelers. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Very accommodating and very attentive to our needs. Even though the restaurant was busy, they took care of us quickly and efficiently. Our group loved the lamb burgers and the fish and chips. With all the other... More

This was a nice place to eat. The food was good and the service was great. The staff very friendly and even refilled my water without asking. I had the vegetable soup and the baked cod which was good.

We came across The Dail Bar last week on a trip to Galway. We went in expecting normal, run of the mill pub grub. Oh how wrong we were. It was very busy when we arrived but the waitress managed to squeeze us in. We were given menus and ordered drinks. Our food order was taken about 10 minutes later.... More

Went to the dail bar to meet friends for dinner yesterday evening. Arrived early and the place was fairly quiet. Found a table easily. The waitress serving us was terrible, to begin with we explained we were waiting for another person to arrive but after pestering us 3 times in 10 minutes to order we felt pressured and ordered without... We went last night based on the reviews and glad we did. So the bar looked pretty quiet, but upstairs was fairly busy, easy to find a seat with a nice atmosphere. The food was lovely, I had a daily special of fresh fish cake with salad, chips and sweet chilli dip - very nice indeed. My husband had the... More
