Sunday Roast in Galway!

An Irish tradition you must experience is Sunday Roast. Like Sunday dinner at Mom's, a roast is made with all the sides - mashed potatoes, carrots, etc. Dail Bar offers a variety - beef, lamb, chicken, salmon and vegetarian (??). Great location in the heart of town. Very attractive, clean, and... read more

We visited the Dail for a couple starters only... 1 chowder, 1 chicken wings and 1 Monkfish & Prawn Melt. None of these dishes were very nice and we all agreed with this. It also took a good while to get the food after we ordered. Apart from that the staff were nice... Disappointing overall.

We've learned not to expect good meals at pubs, but based on reviews we thought we'd give this place a try. We are glad we did! We had the best Irish meal in all of Ireland. The seaood chowder was simply perfection! My salmon dinner exceeded expectations, and my husbands Cod served on chorizo and beans was so flavorful he... More

Nice environment to share a pint and catchup. The menu had a nice selection of items to choose from. Decent value. Decent food. Was not a standout from the other places we tried but if you are looking for a solid pub meal and experience, this is a great place to go. Very convenient location.

We were wandering around old Galway looking around and decided to hop into Dail Bar for dinner. What a happy accident! Our food was delicious and I really enjoyed the ambiance: an old "antiquey" feel. The service was impeccable and I was delighted with the pork loin with mashed potatoes that I ordered. Drinks appeared without our having to ask,... More

I stopped by The Dail Bar for some food. I opted for main course only which was sirloin steak with all the trimmings. The steak was cooked to perfection. I found the the service and quality of the food was excellent and very good value too. I will be back.
