Hidden down an alleyway The Malt House is part if the dxcellent Kings Head. The menu was very attractive and enticed ys in after viewing several other menus. We had breads and dips to share (very nice) before the mains of turbot with fennel very tasty and the excellent whole lobster and chunky chips. All washed down with a nice... More

I visited this restaurant with my wife during an overnight in Galway. The place was quite busy and we were politely invited to wait at the bar while a table was prepared (should have pre-booked). After the meal we could see why the place was so full as the food was delicious. For starters I had the goats cheese and... More

I have eaten here on numerous occasions, it's my go-to spot for when friends are visiting. Food is always delicious and staff are helpful and friendly. The flavour combinations are always on point, it was here that my obsession with chilli chocolate cake began many years ago! Perfectly tucked away from the the bustling streets of Galway..a real gem of a... More

Ate here 2 nights ago and the food is delicious. The other reviews here are correct saying that the place is beautifully clean and that the food is perfectly cooked and presented. Great location in the city centre. Slight disappointment though as once we had had our starters and main course the staff seemed to lose all interest. We sat... More

When we planned our honeymoon, we knew that we would love everything about all the places we were going, but were expecting all of the amazing dining experiences to happen in France, or at least in the big cities like Dublin and London at restaurants where you have to make reservations... The Malt House was the first restaurant we ate... More

We returned again to the Malt House when we were in Galway. The food was its usual high quality and they went out of their way to provide options for our somewhat picky grandson. Great Irish Coffee!! We will definitely go there again.

I would highly recommend the Malt House. I had one of the best lunches in Ireland here. I had a salmon special. The fish was perfectly prepared with an interesting light sauce. The space is light and airy with an upscale hip flare. I love how they used dishes for decor on one wall. The waitstaff were attentive and friendly.... More

We were in Galway for one night, and spotted a rather nice looking pub called The Kings Head. Popped in for a pint, and whilst sitting at the bar with a decent chardonnay and a lovely pint of Galway Hooker, we noticed that there was a restaurant connected to it, The Malt House. So we put our heads round the... More
