Friendly little cafe, nice staff and pleasant atmosphere

Stumbled across this little cafe by chance and popped in for a spot of lunch and coffee. The staff are very friendly and eager to be helpful. There is a nice relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere. I've visited Poppies on multiple occasions now, and each and every time I'm truly amazed with everything. Very friendly staff, tasty and fresh cookies, pastry and everything else. If you have chance to visit the place, do so, and remember to try their Poppies Chicken, I was completely blown away with it! Just keep up the good work, you'll be... More

Had a cappuccino and cake. It was nice. The staff are very friendly. Didn't have a muffin but they look really good. Now the toilet was dirty ,I mean filthy and nobody seemed interested on cleaning it. If the toilet is dirty what's the kitchen like? Won't be going back.

I really enjoy my coffee and chocolate cake, staff was very friendly and helpful. It was also good value for money. Good place to sit down and relax for few minutes and eat something. I really recommend Poppies Cafe while in Dun Laoghaire

A cosy place to have a coffee and a chat and the staff are very friendly. Unfortunately this time we visited the food was not fresh at all.

Had a delicious sandwich made with super soft bread and stuffed with generous filling. The ladies in the cafe are so friendly. It is a bit lime sitting in someone's cosy kitchen. Loved it.

Always been a favourite in past trips to Dublin and Dun Laoghaire. Having recently arrived on a Sunday I headed straight out to Dun Laoghaire in the hope they would be open on Sundays and I was not disappointed. The coffee and home made cakes are always excellent and very generous. The service is very friendly and accommodating and the... More

We gave been here a number of times for coffee and snacks. Home bakes are delicious with a good choice. There is a lot more on offer and one day we hope to return and be more adventurous.
