Spent a lovely evening at this restaurant last friday, we had the early bird which was good value. We did ask could we remain for the evening as we had been toldt hey would require the table back by 8.30. But in the end we stayed till 11 no problem.

After dining here a number of times, under both name, I am certain that this is one of south dublin's hidden gems! Small in size and casual in nature, the restauarnt does not look particularly impressive at first sight. However, the genuine friendliness of the staff, the choice of authentic French decour and, most of all, the food make this... More

I sang the praises of this restaurant to my daughter as I had eaten there with a friend and thoroughly enjoyed every single thing. Alas on our visit which lasted 90 mins and that was due to long delays from chef and there was only one other couple there. She opted for the steak and when she had finished it... More

Busy spot in Glasthule ... even early on a Saturday night it was booked out. I had a lovely starter of black pudding croquettes with a divine pear coulis, and my husband had a fab tiger prawn salad. The fillet steaks were delicious perfectly cooked and could be cut with a fork !! Our desserts of Rhubard crumble and chocolate... More

We hadn't planned on going to Tribes but were glad we ended up there. It was a rare night out in June, with two young kids it can be hard to get leave the house, we had originally booked a different restuarant however the kids weren't playing ball and by the time they settled we'd missed our booking. We'd been... More

Tribes has to be among the best restaurants (in an affordable price range) in Dublin. The pan-fried mackerel is great - with the only downside being the portion side is on the generous side (and I couldn't help but eat it all!) so I was a bit full by the times the mains came out. The early bird menu is... More

Had gorgeous meal which was very well presented. Very well run restaurant with very pleasant staff and owner very attentive but not over powering. It was our second time there and will be back. The only one negative thing I have to say is that there was very little choice in veg. Love my brocoli, cauliflower but both times not... More

I had heard really good things about this place in the past. I wasn't blown away but don't want to be too critical as maybe I was hoping for too much. The special starter of black pudding with apple and onion was pretty ordinary. Tasted like black pudding I'd have at home. However the duck liver parfait was very tasty.... More
