Best place for Italian in South Dublin

What a location for a restaurant, views over one of the most beautiful harbours in Ireland and a beer garden offering huge potential too. We've been a couple Of times and I've always had the house pizza (Oliveto) and never been let down. Throw in attentive staff and serious high quality Italian... read more

I've been to Oliveto now 4 times since Christmas 2014. It's consistent in quality and service. The menu is Classic Italian..reminds me of going into a good trattoria anywhere in Italy. The presentation of antipasti is a treat in itself...frito misto is my favourite but the pappardelle with wild boar is delicious. Wine list is quality and offers a carafe... More

I visited Oliveto on Friday evening with some friends from work. The interior of the restaurant is so nice, it had a great vibe about it! We were seated at a window table overlooking the pier - felt like we were on holidays! We shared the Oliveto board to start - amazing breads, grilled veg, pesto, Italian meats, salad and... More

Ordered a pizza & chips & we were gobsmacked at the size of the pizza! Chips were to die for and the service was out of this world! Highly reccommend this place!!!

Loved the food and atmosphere, you can come for a quick drink, or a pizza, or a more formal full dinner. Fair value, not cheap but good value. Service always excellent.

This was our first time in Oliveto, we'd heard good things about the place from friends and online. My wife and I decided to take a trip there on a sunday night with a gift voucher we'd been given, we were supposed to be there at 8.30 but were delayed and arrived at 9pm. There was a quiet crowd there... More

We ate here last night. Everything was great. Great food (platter to share followed by spaghetti with prawns and rigatoni with aubergine), great ambiance and great value. Looking forward to another trip to Dun LaoghAire and this restaurant .

This isn't the first time I have eaten here nor will it be the last. I've kind of said it all in the title. The food is brilliant, the atmosphere superb and the staff are extremely jolly and hospitable. In daylight the views across Dublin Bay are beautiful. There's a real seaside feel to the whole area. I had a... More

We stayed in Dun Laoghaire for 9 days and visited a lot of restaurants all around Dublin, this restaurant was one of the best we went to. The staff were pleasent and we had a delicious meal. The pizzas are fabulous incredibly tasty. We also had a ravioli starters which was lovely. Deffinately recommended. Keep up the good work.

Ate there with all the family, 3 generations, on Sunday afternoon. Sharing anything is no problem. Pizzas pretty big and good. Great view of Dun Laoghaire Pier if you get a window seat. Would recommend booking in advance.
