Cafe, decent food, but nothing out of the ordinary. One staff member was not particularly pleasant on the visit, which took away from the overall enjoyment.
We frequently visit dun laoghaire and wished we could afford to live there...we have had only breakfasts at Harry's and it is always served well..it has a nice ambience to it...the homemade bread is divine. You eat, pay and are on your way...the food is fresh and hot and tasty..wifi too...not over friendly.....but don't let it bother you...
After driving all morning, we stopped for lunch at Harry's because it was one of the few options in the town. I had a bowl of soup and Irish coffee. Both were good.
Ate here for lunch twice in one week recently. The food was lovely although the portions are small...and it's not a cheap lunch option at just over €13 for a toasted tortilla wrap, portion of fries and a coffee. I would definitely return for the food, but the toilet could do with a spruce up.
I love going into Harry's. The food service and atmosphere are what you would want in Ireland. I used to live in Dun Laoghaire for a few years and this restaurant was my every Saturday and Sunday morning destination. The whole family loved it and I also sent relatives that were visiting in. Now that I live back in the... More
I love this place. I've been going to Harry's for years. I used to work in Dun Laoghaire and went there regularly. It was only when I no longer worked in the area that I realised how much of a great place it was and how lucky I was to have it so close by. Whenever I have a day... More
Harry's Cafe Bar is unpretentious with a simple, worn, comfortable decor, excellent attentive service and delicious food at reasonable prices. If the daily special is the seafood chowder, I highly recommend it-- creamy without being too heavy and chock-full of delicious fish and seafood. Gorgeous! The scones are also wonderful-- light and crumbly.
Simple: good coffee, really good food, the day's papers to read, and a relaxed, cool atmosphere. Reminds you what a cafe can be like with a little care and imagination. If you like coffee you should walk straight past the chains and head here.
We had difficulty finding places to eat in Dun Laoghaire. This place served an amazing breakfast that opened up at 8am on the main street.
I often visited Harry's and I enjoy the food. I find that most of the time the owner is fine but sometimes, for reasons only known to himself, he chooses to ignore customers. Today was the last straw for me. I was waiting at my table to be given a menu when a larger group came in and the owner... More
Hi, sorry for your experience. We have a failure rate each day of about 0.5%, which is about 1 customer. Unfortunately, that day it was you. That was my fault and I remember you standing, looking at me and leaving. A direct word would have solved the problem, my memory wasn't what it should have been at that moment. Pressure... More
