Went for a birthday dinner with my fiancee. Staff were friendly and the food is better than you would expect for a barge. Considering the price, the food and everything else I have to say that it was just great fun going up and down the canal locks on the barge. Give it a go yourselves!

We were a group of 15 'hens' and what a day we had on this barge! The staff were efficient and so friendly, and the food was so tasty and delicious! They provided wee blankets to go up on deck and see the views and watch the progress through the locks! The atmosphere is so cosy and warm and we... More

I purchased a voucher for this place and subsequently made a booking for an evening of choice. When I arrived I was told there was no room for me and my partner as they had filled my place. I explained my voucher was nearing expiration but was told this was no problem. When I subsequently returned another evening with my... More

Dined on the Peniche at the Weekend as part of a Group. We had the best time. The atmosphere is just so relaxed and cozy. The staff were so accommodating and relaxed. We made plenty of use of the deck as the weather was dry and it was just such good fun...Well done La Peniche.

Lively and lovely atmosphere. Starter had mixed plate of meat and cheese thumbs up. Mains were only ok. Beef stew kind word for it. Lacked everything except meat. Throw a few challots and veg . Not restaurant standard in my view. Chicken looked ok. Great service. Can't fault anything else.

We booked the boat for a private lunch time cruise for a friend's hen party. We had a fantastic time, the boat is very comfortable, the staff all very helpful and friendly and our 3 course lunch was delicious. Highly recommended

Very disappointed. Despite written confirmation that the table would be held for my booking, when my pal called on the day in question to confirm, I was told that my booking had been given away. He tried to tell her that it had been the previous week that he had held it til but she had it in BLACK and... More

Had our Christmas party here and I love love love the concept and the barge itself was so cosy and cute and a real departure from the usual humdrum Christmas party. We went for the 42€ per person package which was an all inclusive deal: 3 courses and glass of bubbly on arrival and also included the cruise surcharge. The... More

We dined in La Peniche last night. I booked it for my sisters hen night and we all had a great night. Staff were so friendly and the service was excellent. The food was excellent and definitely one of the nicest meals I have had. I would highly recommend La Peniche especially for group bookings.
