Operating since 1995, this family run business is casual and welcoming. We pride ourselves on our excellent food with fast and friendly service. Depending on the time of day, the atmosphere ranges from quiet and relaxing to noisy and buzzing. We offer great value lunch and early bird specials, making it ideal for a quick lunch or pre theatre get together. Our a la carte menu is available all day from 12 noon to 10pm and we also offer a full wine list and beer. So whether Dublin is your home or you are visiting our fair city, make a date with The Italian Connection.

I went in to book as it was for Saturday evening and was surprised that they didn't take a name for the booking although they said this was the last booking they could take. It was busy and staff seemed to be rushing about franticly. Our order did arrive quickly so quickly in fact that I doubted if it had... More

I discovered this charming little restaurant some time back. Reasonably priced, diverse menu. Nice atmosphere and friendly & efficient staff. Set or a la carte menu available. I opted for the set menu and was more than happy with what I got. The food was very good. It is centrally located to buses and luas network

The restaurant itself is small and narrow. The tables for separate groups were too close together and the acoustics made the place very noisy, which wasn't helped when a large stag group joined halfway through. This is unfortunate, as the food was great and the staff very polite.

Visited Dublin last week and wanted somewhere for my husband and I to eat on our first evening. Had noted a few restaurants and as this one was not far from our hotel we decided to give it a try. We were quite glad we had booked earlier in the day as when we arrived the restaurant was quite busy,... More

We stumbled into this restaurant on our way back to the hote. It looked lively and there was a faint aroma of garlic which sold us on stopping. We got there in time for the early bird special and had a yummy dinner for under €15 each. We loved our starter of bruschetta and spinach crostini, and enjoyed the steak... More

myself and my girlfriend have eat here twice in the last year, both times the food has been tasty, just the right amount on the plate, and excelllant service! the only downfall about the place is the tables are so close together, so u wouldnt wanna to be talking about anything too personal. the place is very reasonably priced.

Been here a couple of times before, has to say that this time it was really disappointing. Affordable pizza, but the taste was not to great. Tasted very bland, and the crust was chewy. The water however is more on the pricy side, and it's not served cold. Would not come back. Would not recommend for large families or groups... More

Ate here last night with a group of 6 friends. Never been and never heard of it before. We were heading to a play in the Abbey so it was nice and handy. It is small and the tables are close together. Waitresses need a bit of a brush up in customer service, and they need to bring water to... More

I was with my boyfriend in this restaurant and I ordered a plate of tortellini and him one pizza. When the waitress brought the food, my surprise was that only had 8 tortellini on my plate with some sauce. I paid 8 tortellini for 11.95 € (1.5 € each tiny tortellini). In addition, the space between the tables was very... More

I've been coming here for years, whenever I've been in Dublin. I've had some fantastic meals and some just so-so ones. What keeps me coming back are the good people and good prices.
