St Patrick's day lunch

We had lunch in Madina, soon after St Patrick's parade was over. You can imagine how busy all the places were. Even though the restaurant was packed, the staff was very helpfull and placed us at the first table that was released. Just had to wait 5-10 mins. No need to say more about the prompt... read more

My comments here are in reference to the Takeaway food quality and service as I did not eat in the restaurant. As any Indian vegetarian will tell you, outside of India it is almost impossible to get good vegetarian food. Notable exceptions is the Woodlands franchise in London, USA etc (http://www.woodlandsrestaurant.co.uk/piccadilly.html). Finally here in Dublin we now have a takeaway... More

Firstly let me say - I really enjoy flavoursome spicy food - and I do mean flavoursome - NOT just hot (as anyone can do that) Dublin is a gorgeous city - but the typical fayre, can be a bit bland. Finding the restaurant takes you off the beaten track. Over O'Connell bridge walk towards the spire. Turn left at... More

Top class dosa's and the other dishes were also good as were the different Indian breads we tried - the service is excellent but not smarmy like a lot of other places - it has distinct Indian style to it and lots of Indians eat there which I think is a good sign. A note for the Nepali waitress -... More

I was in Dublin alone on business and having been to Madina a few years previous and very much enjoyed the food, I thought it would be a safe option! I arrived at Madina at about 7.15pm asking for a table for one. The manager/owner at the counter was very friendly and called a young female waitress over to sort... More

I asked for a dish there, and 90% was composed by rice. And only 10% by chicken. From my point of view it is not worth to go to the place. I probably would not come back there again.

I went to Madina with my friends who were starving for Indian food from long. The food quality and taste was mediocre, it wasn't great though. The quality of service was fine, as one of my friend found a waitress from her place in India. For the atmosphere, I'd say that there was a bit smoke, probably due to faulty... More

First time I have visited Madina a week ago with my friends that love this place . Food was ok , I had chicken jalfrezi , some rice, quite nice . Girl from Nepal serving us was also very friendly, she helped us to choose some nice dishes. My second visit was not so good. I came there with my... More

But the rest of the food was shocking. We ate here in October and all 4 of us were disgusted at the main dishes we were dished up, while the chicken dishes were watery but eatable the 2 lamb dishes were just bones and no amount of finger work would find meat on it, never again.
