Forgot how to cook a steak :(

I have been here many times and had great meals but this time was different. I ordered steak medium well but it came out well-well done. In fact the two with me also commented that their steaks were overdone. However in typical Irish fashion I was the only one to complain. To be fair to the... read more

On a recent trip to Dublin we had dinner at Joels one evening and lunch there two days later. Neither meal could be faulted and this comes from someone who worked in the hospitality business In comparison with a pub in Clondalkin that we tried, it was light years better in every way, better food, better service, better prices....just better!

Food was mostly good but the service let the evening down. My friends had a fillet steak and lasagne which they said was good. I ordered a pasta dish with chicken and a creamy sauce but found something orange in colour in the pasta which I don't think was chicken..(obviously wasn't meant to be part of the fish). The chicken... More

Great value for even greater food...could not compliment the staff enough especially the regular staff who no matter how long between visits can be counted on to be there.... More

Disappointed, been here for years with the family and we found it always to be a lovely family restaurant, nice food and staff but recently found standards to be dropping especially with food but continued to come back but definitely won't be back again due to how we were recently treated...booked out the function room for surprise party for a... So so sad when I ate here.I got a coeliac menu (Fantastic!) Was very happy with the choices I was offered. I ordered a build your own burger type thing. I asked the waiter if the buns had egg in them (he said he would check with the chef) , When he returned he said they didn't , Super! So... More

We used to love Joel's but after the experience last night – Never again. We requested a booth as it is easier with the kids and when the OAF of a manager (She didn’t have a name badge, assume she is sick of the complaints) tried to seat us at a small table I mentioned the request for the booth...
