Went here with my family today. I had the wings and seabass. Possibly the best meal I've ever had. Heard the wings were great but God the were more then that. Outrageous. Good value also. Was in another rathfarnham pub recently and wings not half as good. My daughter loves the veg bowl which is great. 👍

As a group of 3 couples we visited The Merry Ploughboy on Saturday evening where we were entertained by accomplished musicians and dancers. The food and service were very good and the waiters efficient and friendly. The restaurant was full to capacity with a wide age range of customers who enjoyed the evening. My only criticism was not of the... More

It was a short weekend visit to Ireland, and folk singing and Irish tap really should be experienced. We knew it would be a tourist trap, but its done with an Irish charm and an efficiency that might surprise. The folk singers are good and entertaining, although we would have preferred less "sing along" numbers and to have heard less... More

In addition to the excellent food - including rare breed pork - the Guinness is also truly delicious Unfortunately didn't catch the music this time but hopefully next time

My wife and I went on a CIE tour of Ireland and our tour stopped here for dinner. We were dead tired from traveling over seas to start the tour. The show was great, you could tell the guys have fun doing what they do. Food was ok not great for us. The dancers put on a hell of a... More

Went there with a large group on a Monday evening. Seating was set, the libation was fine, the musicians were excellent, the step dancing was stellar, and Irish coffee, if wanted, at the end of the evening. You can not do much better. Everyone enjoyed and would like to come back

Booked for a birthday celebration at the Irish night. When we ordered a drink we were told the policy of the pub was to take a credit card and run a tab!! Not a great idea to give a credit card at the beginning of the evening and trust the end result will be correct!! The waiter was very polite... More
