Description: Montys of Kathmandu, a multi-award winning Nepalese Restaurant in the heart...
Montys of Kathmandu, a multi-award winning Nepalese Restaurant in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarter and now more recently, in the leafy suburbs of Rathgar. Montys is the first Nepalese Restaurant ever to open in Ireland specialising in the beautiful food from the Himalayan Kingdom. We make everything inhouse and do nor use any artificial additives to enhance the flavours of our food. All our chefs are natives of Nepal and it is owned by Nepalis too. We pride ourselves on giving you the customers the authentic experience, with out taking any short cuts. We source all our ingredients, where possibly locally and use the best possible available to us.

Lovely food and great service

We arrived at this restaurant on a busy Saturday night without booking. The staff quickly arranged a table for us both and were great, the food was lovely and fresh, this was our first experience of Lebanese food we were both very satisfied with the food here

Food was fab - service was good, wine was terrible. Early bird menu available 5-7 we went for the main menu - was busy - you would need to reserve a table any later than 6pm

Went for an early bird meal, price is reasonable for the amount you get although on the pricey side outside of this menu. The service is brilliant, food is delicious and were very impressed when they brought out a little cake, icecream and candle for my sister (free of charge) as we had mentioned it was my sister's birthday earlier... I absolutely love this place. It's the nicest curry I've ever eaten and the staff and owners are lovely. I like really spicy food and they always get it just right. I ate there last night but already want to go back. I'd eat there every day if I could!

Very rude service and pathetic food. Food was super spicy and no taste. I would say, worst Indian food restaurant in Dublin. Diwali restaurant which is in same area is far better than this. To make dining experience worst, service was very poor also. They served starter and main together. Rice was severed when main got cold. Waiter was in... More

They never cease to impress at Monty's. The staff, the service, the quality and selection of dishes with their range of accompanying wines - not forgetting the Nepalese ambience - the perfect combination. My latest visit was on Friday 7th and the restaurant was buzzing, the staff warmly welcoming all guests whether new or regulars after the Christmas. The extensive... More

I'm Anglo - Indian and a foodie, so I'm perhaps rather predisposed to be critical of Asian dishes - Monty's passed the test with flying colours! The surroundings are nice, the staff are friendly and efficient, the food sings! We ate chicken ledo bedo, masu ra sag, kalo dal, kerau paneer (as a side dish at our request) and a... More

Had a lovely meal here. First time eating in this restaurant and really enjoyed the food and excellent, friendly service. We were seating downstairs and it seemed like the whole restaurant was booked out so great sat nite atmosphere. Will definitely be back with friends.
