Description: Serving Ireland’s best steak in Temple Bar with the experience and knowledge of over 25 years of serving the perfect steak. We change our menus seasonally to reflect the best that Irish produce has to offer and to ensure the highest quality of local fresh seafood. We offer an informed wine list to meet all budgets and an extensive selection of cocktails and spirits. The way in which we guarantee the highest quality in beef in both texture and flavour is by selecting Irish beef and the highest grade of traditional breeds of cattle. Our butchers choose the highest quality grade of cattle on the basis of fat content, marbling and quality. All restaurant grade beef is grass fed and is dry aged to perfection for a minimum of 28 days. At F.X.BUCKLEY our prime cuts are hung on the bone at 4°C and at 80% humidity.Storing meat for several weeks where it can loose up to 16% of its weight involves considerable expertise so all F.X.BUCKLEY butchers are specifically trained for the process. The benefit for our patrons is to experience the concentration and saturation of natural meat flavours and superior tenderness. Hence why you will hear experts use terms like "buttery and rich" and "earthy and nutty" to describe our dry-aged beef.

This place is excellent... The atmosphere, food, wine and waiting staff were first class... I'm so glad we decided to book as it was packed despite it being a Monday night.. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the waiting staff were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive.. My husband ordered the 22oz steak which was massive and cooked perfectly..... More

Fantastic food, very friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere even on a Sunday night in November. Rib Eye highly recommended as is the cauliflower side dish. Slightly hard to find and not cheap but when the food is this good you don't mind paying a little extra. Highly recommended.

I had the devilled kidneys which came with a fennel bread, very tasty. This was followed by a sirloin steak with a choice of sauce and either chips, mash or baked potato. Steak as it should taste cooked to perfection. My husband likes his steak very well done (sacrilege I know) and usually has to send it back so is... More

We looked this up on the map after getting stuck in the rain nearby. A little hard to find with an entrance slightly below ground, we arrived around 6 on a Friday night without a reservation. We were seated immediately and watched the place fill up progressively until 8 when we departed. We took advantage of an early bird menu... More

My partner and I popped in for an early bird steak before Jack Whitehall in Vicar street and if Im honest I feel like I fell for all the hype and it ruined everything. I ordered a steak with mash my partner had the same, first bite was tasty it went down from there. I cut the steak into two... More

We chose this restaurant after reading about it on Tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. The staff were extremely knowledgable about the cuts of meat and brought out a tray of raw meat cuts for a nearby table to see. She took her time, explained the cuts and answered the other customers questions with ease. Our own waitress was able to... More

I read the reviews on Trip Advisor and decided to give this place a try. They were correct! I got the set price menu which included a Caesar salad, 8 oz. sirloin steak, baked potato and a slice of cheesecake, all for 23 euro! Delicious steak, delicious salad, delicious desert and awesome service. My only complaint would be that the... More
