Great tapas!

I love eating in The Market Bar, their tapas are some of the best in the city. Particularly the patatas bravas, just delicious! Can also recommend the slow cooked chicken and chorizo skewers, the meat is so tender it is to die for! The seating can be a little uncomfortable depending on which... read more

I go here everytime I go out for Tapas. It serves the best tapas in the city. It may be a bit noisy sometimes with no music playing but love the food and great meeting point. I have celebrated my birthdays here a few times as have many of my friends.

A cavernous space, barely believable when stepping in from Fade St., the Market Bar seems always to buzz and crackle with atmosphere. The tapas is served from a simple, pared down menu which means the food arrives fast no matter how busy the room. It's not fine dining, but the food is tasty, good value and consistently good. Not our... More

Visited here with friends for some tapas and wine. It's the perfect place for a catchup as the atmosphere is very casual, the decor is lovely and there's lots of space so you don't feel crammed in. I ordered what I thought initially may be overpriced tapas. But I was wrong, the portions were absolutely huge! And the flavour was... More

I am a long time fan of tapas restaurants. I used to work in one also, The food here was good but not the best I have ever had but it was good. The atmosphere on the other hand was electric, Fantastic for groups of people to eat together, The place was packed & everyone enjoying themselves. Not expensive either,... More

Having had drinks here in the past we decided to return and try out the food. All good. We had the early bird menu which consists of 2 tapas type dishes and a beer or glass of house wine for 15 euro (February 2015). We thought that these would be small tapas portions but they were huge and we struggled... More

I visit The Market Bar whenever I am in this end of town as I just can't get enough! Food is always fabulous and so reasonabley priced for the portion sizes. The atmosphere is always chilled and relaxing- even when it is very busy. Saki has been my waiter the last few times I visited and I honestly have never... More

I was there with a group of friends. We ordered several different tapas, and it was a lot of food, because big plates were actually big (and the small ones were small)! I lived in Spain, and I had never seen such a huge plate of patatas bravas! They were good by the way. Calamares were good too. Spanish tortilla... More

Great place to visit with a group of friends (or your kids on a Sunday). It's a busy place and for good reason. Food is good and the portions are very generous - you won't go hungry here! Well worth it for a cheap and cheery night!

Nice tapas in a great space. Go as much for the food as the unique interiors. Decent drinks selection at bar.
