Excellent value for lunch, but a bit too crowded & noisy for dinner!

I've been to Market Bar for both lunch and dinner. They do a lunch special every day for 8 euro which is amazing value. A wrap or sandwich of the day along with a cup of soup and patatas bravas and some dressed salad leaves. It really is a fantastic lunch for the money and I can't recommend it... read more

Our bus tour driver recommended this restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent (we ordered way more than we were able to finish, but there are so many appealing options on the menu). It's a large venue and the servers are quite busy, but we managed to be able to get their attention when we wanted to... More

It's been a while since I drank here but the place still has that great vibe about it. It was very busy (early evening) with a lot of people eating and drinking and no tables or chairs available to sit at, so we stood at the bar and it wasn't particularly cheap at €6.80 for a glass of wine. There... More

I have visited this place a number of times. I do not enjoy it in a group situation, particularly at the far end of the room with high tables and chairs set far apart - it is very difficult to hear your friends over the din. I would however thoroughly recommend the restaurant section, the tapas are very tasty and... More

Great place to come with big groups of friends, not a place for couples. Great food with humongous portions and great drink options. However, you really have to shout to be heard over the din and it can take quite a while to grab the attention of the staff. The staff, to be fair to them, are whizzing around and... More

Stuffed peppers, patatas and generally amazing tapas dishes. I've been here many times for drinks and it's always very busy but it's the food that i loved. The tapas dishes are just amazing. Myself and my girlfriend were full after ordering 3 dishes between us, although i cant remember one of them now! The only negative for this place is... More

I was part of the group whose reservation was cancelled (see review below). We would like to make clear that since that review, Market Bar offered assistance in finding an alternative venue and offered a substantial voucher for a future visit. While still disappointed, it is only fair to publicly acknowledge that this restaurant has made an effort to ameliorate... More

Can't recommend this place enough. There were 6 of us in our group. When we arrived we were greeted by very friendly staff. We weren't sure if we would be able to get a table for 6 as we hadn't rang ahead. We were accommodated in no time at all. Although the place was very busy we were seated fairly... More

This used to be an old meat packing or butchers building. Its a large bar and the inside is very warm and a great place for drinks and tapas. The table service wasn't great for our table but it could easily have been just an off night. The bar staff however were amazing. Women be warned when wearing heels here,... More
