Saw this little French cafe at the entrance if the Dublin Castle and returned for dinner. What a great choice, the steak frites was very tasty and the chicken my spouse order was also delicious. The service was efficient and polite. All around a very nice meal and definitely worth a return visit.

For our final night in Dublin my sister and I headed to Chez Max to share a bottle of wine and their delicious camembert appetizer with toasts. For an entrée we had mussels in a delicious cream sauce. We sat outside and lingered there for hours as the sun set and our glasses emptied. I would recommend this restaurant to... More

What a real find in the heart of Dublin, Ireland! Be transported to les Champs Élysées for a couple of hours and savour the feel, taste, touch and ambiance of the beauty of Paris and the intoxicating Joie de vivre that is so central to French life and culture. The food is really good and the moules marinierre have really... More

As a Frenchman living in Cork, Chez Max has become the place I come to dine in on every venue to Dublin. The food is great, the service is good, the staff is friendly. I recommend it strongly.

What can more can I say? Steak and chips may not be art, but this was pretty damned close. They have captured the feel of a Parisienne restaurant right slap bang in the middle of templebar. I broke into GCSE french and forgot where I was!

I travel to France a lot and I just love this little piece of France right in Dublin. The staff are so friendly and always French - we usually pop by for a glass of vino and a meat and cheese board. They have a great wine selection and the meat and cheese board is huge and so tasty. I... More

We mainly chose this restaurant based on its location. My daughter was attending a concert at the Olympia Theatre, which is right across the street. I made my living as a French teacher, so I'm always attraced to places where I might be able to speak French. They seated us immediately, even though we did not have a reservation. We... More
