We loved this cozy brasserie close to our hotel. Food was delicious and atmosphere was bustling and fun. No healthy options (lots of butter and/or cream), but the dietary splurge was worth it.

A Saturday evening coming up to Christmas is not a great time to be walking in looking for a table. Yet, we got one in The Garden Room. It's a small space at the back that is covered but yet outside. Thankfully there is no smoking. We got a very cosy table in a corner. The staff were very attentive... More

I recently visited this restaurant with some friends and we all agreed that the food was amazing. I got to try snails for the first time and they were surprisingly tasty! The cheese and meat platter for dessert is gorgeous. The only negative was that the duck was slightly overcooked - the waiter recommended medium but it was served well... More

Have been to Chez Max two times. Once just for coffee & snack and the secnond time for a pre-show meal. Arrived around 6.30pm one evening without a booking and was (surprizingly!) shown to a table. Had intended just to get something quick & light, but when we studied the menu there were many tasty and good value options to... More

My friends and I booked to eat here after our Christmas shop. It had been recommended to us and we will definitely be returning! We all ordered different dishes so I got to taste 8 of the restaurants offerings...lucky me! To start I ordered the scallops & leeks which were lovely. The onion soup was nice too. Although the quail... More

We had been advised at the time of making the reservation that we would be located in the Garden Room. If we had of known that it was a poor quality yard at the back of the restaurant with a corrugated plastic roof and canopy we would not have made the booking. The temperature fluctuated from being very cold to... More

The branch we called in at was situated in Palace Street, near Dublin Castle. The weather allowed us to sit outside on the forecourt. We all opted for one of the several delicious `formula` meals. Tartine, glass of wine and tea or coffee, all for about 10/12Euros. Quick friendly service.

Authentic French menu and decor, friendly staff, busy but welcoming, and reasonably priced. A la carte or set daily menu.

We ate outside under a remarkably hot outdoor heater. The escargots arrived, but only one serving, it turns out that our meagre French (we had aperitifs elsewhere) was insufficient to convey that we wanted a serving each; not 'a deux'. The mussels and Burgundy Beef were excellent. The waiting staff were very jolly and nothing was too much bother.

This place was recommended by a friend and we could not have been happier. We got a warm welcome when we arrived and the staff were even more charming through the meal and offered great advice on the menu and wine menu. The food was beautifully fresh, tasted fantastic and the prices were very reasonable.
