A little piece of Paris in Dublin

This is a really lovely little restaurant with a real Parisian feel in the heart of Dublin. The staff are lovely and warm and the food was really good. A little on the expensive side but well worth it for the experience. Would definitely return.

Been before otherwise I'd have said TERRIBLE. Met close friend for special lunch. Chose their standard special : mussels & chips (very French)! Sorry ....so disappointing. Cold, cold, tasteless. Only reason I never handed them back, besides no one asking me if I was happy, was my friend had just had a bereavement.

Lovely little intimate restaurant serving traditional French cuisine served by French staff. How refreshing. Had a 3 course early bird which was great value at €19.00. Starter of French onion soup, cheese served on the side which allowed one to add it as and when, nice touch. Followed by beouf bourgignon which was also very tasty. Finally profiteroles. A nice... This is a fabulous restaurant. Great menu and very friendly staff. The restaurant looks very French from the outside, and it feels like you're actually in France when you're inside. The boeuf bourginon is fantastic. Reasonably priced and highly recommended.

Headed here with my family a few days ago. The restaurant is a little small, so my dad felt we would be cramped etc and was a little wary of the booking. That soon changed. The very pleasant staff were friendly and the slightly cramped conditions coupled with the dimmed lighting soon felt more atmospheric than anything else. More importantly,... More

Chez Max (both Palace St and Baggot St) has become a go-to place for my friends and I when we want to go someplace decent, without having to stress or think about it. Very reasonably priced, consistently good. Staff are sound. Wine is great! This review doesn't refer to a specific occasion, but rather to about 5 visits in the... More

We wanted a coffee and found this pretty place. We sat outside as even though it was chilly they had heaters outside. Actually a huge pipe whichgives off amazing heat. The waiter was friendly and we decided this was a nice place to lunch. We certainly weren't disappointed. I had the sea bass with potato and spinach. Hubby had moules.... More

Chez Max is a cute french place in the city center right next to the city hall. We had lunch there and enjoyed a tasty meal for good value with their lunch deal. The place is nicely decorated and the waitress was French, so it felt authentic. Overall, not fancy but definitely tasty and cozy with nice staff.

Went to Chez Max for Sunday dinner and was pleasantly surprise by the authentic atmosphere and decor. It actually felt like I was in a little piece of France right in the heart of Dublin. The staff were all French, had good English and flowed between English and French throughout our chat. The food was very good although I'm not... More
