Authentic French restaurant with lovely atmosphere

We had lunch here and liked it so much we came back for dinner. It's right beside Dublin Castle so easy to find. We really enjoyed their French onion soup and salad Nicosia. My husband was impressed by a salmon dish he had in the evening. I had a vegetarian crumble which was not of the same... read more

After the demise of le Frere Jacques I wondered who might or could take on the mantle of a genuine French restaurant in Dublin. By accident I have found such a place. Two different groups with whom I am associated had meals here. On both visits I found the staff and the food to be excellent.

I had dinner here one night with 3 friends after a recommendation for 2 other friends. Booking for the Baggot Street location was easy and we were shown to a lovely table near a large window. The main part of this restaurant is at the basement level, but it has gigantic windows, so you don't feel like you are underground.... More

Ate with 3 other adults. Delicious starters, and main course and very authentic French Bistro cuisine. One of the party ordered the moules with frittes. When they arrived approx 1/3 of the shells were empty - no sign of mussles in the dish either. After a bit of discussion she was finally given extra mussels! The Waiter did try to... More

For quite a number of years I've been looking forward to experiencing this pretty looking restaurant in a wonderful location in Dublin. So when it was my turn to book a table for friends I jumped at the opportunity. Walking in through the door I knew that I was going to have a wonderful time - the ambience enveloped me.... More

We chose this restaurant as it is close to the Olympia Theatre and we were interested to try something different than our usual haunts. We arrived on a Friday evening & following a friendly 'bonjour' were immediately shown to a table in the centre of the compact dining room. The decor is firmly french in an authentic way and tranports... More

Went there following a recommendation and was really taken aback with the quality of every single dish we ordered. Top marks for food, ambiance and service. Too bad this restaurant is not situated in London; we'd go there every week!

I enjoyed the duck - canard, wine snd the creme brûlée. Attentive service and quality food. A great place near Dublin Castle for a coffee or a meal. Definitely recommended.
