Great Find

We knew we wanted Chinese and used the near me function in the trip advisor to find Halin. We're very glad we did! Dry ribs and spring roll starters were amazing and the main courses of chicken fried noodles and crispy squid were also very tasty. Portions are HUGE! Neither of us managed to finish... read more

Very traditional Chinese food. I went with Chinese friends, so they ordered for me. The long menu is Chinese (The best one). Very good portions and very good for sharing. The food is spicy, but I love spicy food! I will go back!

Hi was there yesterday for an evening meal. Really enjoyed it, service and staff good and pleasant, food excellent so would recommend, it is not the kind of modified chinese food to suit European palet. So please try it if you are in Dublin

I've been to Hilan, many times in the past 5 years. It's my favorite Chinese Restaurant in Dublin. Each time has always been a great experience. Lot's of choices, tasty food and really friendly sfaff. A few times I booked a table for friends, and we have all been really satisfied. Will keep going back!

We ordered fish but the fish come with small stone. I was lucky because i didn't bite on it. otherwise I could have lost my tooth. We complaint to the waiter, he quickly took away the stone but come back with some unacceptable excuses. Overall food are salty and nothing special. The fact is there are stone in the dishes,... I have visited Hilan Restaurant occasionally down the years and I will say this - it is always consistent. Good real Chinese food (not eurochinese menu, food is always the real deal!) and very well trained staff. It was busy when I called in, a good sign. I had the Seafood casserole with boiled rice. It was classically simple and... More

It is exactly what I expected from an Asian restaurant - service was excellent, large menu selection, authentic food. The staff has a nice demeanor and is helpful. I had the tofu kimchee soup, dumplings, and beef skewers. The food I had was good but not delicious. It seems like they have a lot of loyal customers so I will... More

We'd never had Korean BBQ before - or even heard of it, so this looked like a must visit restaurant... In keeping with many Chinese restaurants in Dublin, they often offer other South East Asian cuisines as well as Chinese. We tried the fixed price Korean BBQ for two. This comprised, Beef, Lamb, Chicken and Prawns. This was brought to... More

This was great - with two standout dishes amongst our group: 1. the minced pork and squid and 2. the spicy lamb. The menu looked interesting and I cannot wait to try it again.

I visited this restaurant, which was originally recommended to me by my Chinese Kung Fu teacher, multiple times now. Although the interior and atmosphere of this restaurant could be much better, the food is definitely excellent. I love asian food and believe me I visited lots of places - Hilan is definitely in the top ranking ones. Highly recommend!
