More staff needed!

Visited with my wife and 2 children (( and 13) on Saturday afternoon. We ordered the BBQ for 3 people - more than enough for the four of us and the kids enjoyed the prospect of cooking the food ourselves. Obviously very popular but could do with more staff - there seemed to be only 2 people doing... read more

We went twice and quite satisfied with the meals. Personally, I like sweet and sour pork and other dishes like COME ONE BULGOGI, but not enjoyed the BBQ much.

The service was ok and the quality of the food was good. The vast majority of the clientele consisted of young people. This meant that the environment was quite noisy with a lot of loud talking and laughter and for me matters were made even worse by the much too loud background music. In general although the food and service... More

Hilan has always stood apart for the authenticity of its menu. It rarely disappoints and they've maintained this standard while maintaining an excellent price point. You get a lot more than you pay for! My concerns are related to their obvious growth in popularity (so well deserved) and my sense that their standards have dropped in key areas of their... More

We knew we wanted Chinese and used the near me function in the trip advisor to find Halin. We're very glad we did! Dry ribs and spring roll starters were amazing and the main courses of chicken fried noodles and crispy squid were also very tasty. Portions are HUGE! Neither of us managed to finish our mains and were very... More

Very traditional Chinese food. I went with Chinese friends, so they ordered for me. The long menu is Chinese (The best one). Very good portions and very good for sharing. The food is spicy, but I love spicy food! I will go back!

Hi was there yesterday for an evening meal. Really enjoyed it, service and staff good and pleasant, food excellent so would recommend, it is not the kind of modified chinese food to suit European palet. So please try it if you are in Dublin

I've been to Hilan, many times in the past 5 years. It's my favorite Chinese Restaurant in Dublin. Each time has always been a great experience. Lot's of choices, tasty food and really friendly sfaff. A few times I booked a table for friends, and we have all been really satisfied. Will keep going back!

We ordered fish but the fish come with small stone. I was lucky because i didn't bite on it. otherwise I could have lost my tooth. We complaint to the waiter, he quickly took away the stone but come back with some unacceptable excuses. Overall food are salty and nothing special. The fact is there are stone in the dishes,... I have visited Hilan Restaurant occasionally down the years and I will say this - it is always consistent. Good real Chinese food (not eurochinese menu, food is always the real deal!) and very well trained staff. It was busy when I called in, a good sign. I had the Seafood casserole with boiled rice. It was classically simple and... More
