Food and history!

We stumbled upon this beautiful place and enjoyed several drinks, apps and dinner here. A very historic church (Arthur Guinness, founder of, yes, Guinness, was married here and Handel's Messiah was first played here!) that has been converted into a bar and restaurant. A break for break and some good drinking on the shopping street. Awesome with a bar in an old church that has been preserved with organ painting etc. My assessment is only experience and a good Guinness, tested not eat anything here. The toilets must be absolutely among the freshest in Ireland !!!

After leaving my fella parked at the bar for an hour with a pint or two of Guinness and the free wifi, whilst I availed myself of the Penney's emporium opposite The Church seemed the ideal place to grab some lunch when I went to collect him. Glad we did, as the light bites portions were plentiful and tasty, particularly... More

I saw a beautiful outdoor seating area and thought I would sit down to enjoy a sunny! Dublin day. Once I went fully around the building I found the entrance. Much to my surprise I entered a beautiful church, replete with organ, stained glass, and snap dab in the center, a huge bar. I bellied up to the bar, ordered... More

I went to this place with my girlfriend a few weeks ago and I can only describe it as amazing. The layout of the place is beautiful from the incredible looking bar in the middle and the seating around it to the dining area along the top over looking the bar. Had a brilliant experience here. The waitress we had... More

I entered the Church on its first level which is the location of the bar. At the reception I was welcomed by a lovely young lady. She asked me if this was my first visit and I told her that it is. The place was really busy, but she took the time to guide me personally to the second floor... More

A really different place to visit , set in an old church in a central location we had a lovely lunch here in the large outside garden The menu was varied with plenty of choices . We returned in the evening and watched some Irish dancing , then had a meal on the balcony An unforgettable experience

Our hotel recommended a visit as our first meal as a group in Dublin. It was very busy on the pub floor. Our waitress was as attentive as she could be. Highlight of our time there was the traditional music and dance performance, as we were seated right next to it. The bathrooms are over the top and worth a... More
