The waiter was a bit off putting and after... read more

It's never appeared to be an easy thing to me to find a place for good food in Temple Bar. I'm just an occasional tourist here, which is why I am pointing people to La Paloma, a restaurant I visit every time in Dublin. I like the energy of Temple Bar, and hanging out at Gogarty's, and I'll always start... More

We've been a few times and never had a bad meal. There's always a welcoming smile, good food, value for money. We'd definitely recommend it for locals and visitors and we'll be back again.

My family and I had a lovely meal at La Paloma in December while visiting Dublin over the New Year's Holiday! The food was excellent, presentation beautiful and the sangria was great too. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Very bad experience, shockingly inattentive service and low standard food! Spanish restaurant??? Inedible patatas bravas, we asked server if they are frozen and how they are cooked, and of course answer was that they are cooked fresh, apparently in pan, then in fryer and then again in pan with mojo sauce....sounded like guy did not have a clue about dish,... La Paloma is 24 years serving fine food and drinks to the Dublin public, mostly its great meeting and looking after our friends and customers ,you pay your money your entitled to your opinion and nowadays everyone wants to broadcast their opinions on Patatas bravas or whatever. All our potato dishes are made in house ,why would we bother with frozen stuff... Another fantastic meal in La Paloma tonight; a quirky, friendly, family-run business in the centre of Dublin. Probably the most interesting restaurant in town. I've ordered the entire menu over the past 10 years or so. Actually, I haven't tried the pork belly but, still, never a bad meal. I don't usually write reviews but this place is outstanding. I've... Horrible experience at la paloma!!! Almost no people, empty tables.. but even though it was empty seats they asked us to come back in 15 minutes... and we really felt like having tapas so we did. Went back after 20 minutes, they asked us to wait even more, got our seats, 30 minutes later they took our orders, we wanted... More

The staff were very friendly and created a great atmosphere. The place is very comfortable. The food was excellent and good value for money. The sangria was spot on. No complaints at all from anyone there on the night I visited. I would definitely revisit this little gem of a restaurant.

We visited on a Friday night around 8 ish with no need to book . Warm welcome from the start . Lovely atmosphere very authentic ...there were Spanish eating there so always a good sign . We had sangria paella and a chicken dish . Complimentary olives and iced water . No rushing us out and beautiful reasonable food .
