Very good restaurant; however, service could be improved

Overall, I enjoyed dinner at Yamamori. We dined here on a Saturday evening, and I'm glad that we went relatively early, as the restaurant was almost full. The sushi and entree portion sizes are generous, and the food is fresh. Surprisingly, they offered gluten-free soy sauce (big plus... read more

The food here is gorgeous! We found this place fours years back on our first trip to Dublin and now go every time we are there. All the meals we have tried are delicious. I love the chicken yakatori & the chicken teriyaki. The staff are really nice and manage the high intake if customers well. Totally recommend having meal... More

I used to go to Yamamori a lot and returned after several months for a relaxed dinner on a random Tuesday on the month on January. it was nice as usual, staff was really kind and food ok, however I felt I have been overcharged. For a dinner for 2 people and a 2 years old baby, each with a... More

Hello, I am sorry you felt that the meal you received was not good value for money. I am glad, however, that you felt that the service and quality of the food was worthy of a four star rating. As you have mentioned increases in food prices is a universal trend and unfortunately passing on the cost of superior ingredients... More

I'm sorry that you had a negative experience on Friday, it is our policy to always greet guests as soon as possible when they walk in. On this occasion there was obviously a break down in communication between the front of house staff and I apologise for their oversight. I hope you have not been put off visiting one of... More

We booked a table here on a saturday night, i straight away noticed how busy it was for a 6pm. We went with another couple who use this restaurant regularly, as i am not an expert on Japanese they talked us through the menu. myself and my wife ended up ordering a mixture of dishes between us, the presentation and... We tried a variety of the menu, and it was all really good. The servings are BIG, and that explains why the prices are a bit high for a place like this (not fancy dining)- I got really full by 8 pieces of sushi and a side dish. The drinks are great. The waitor was excellent, very attentative.

It's been a real struggle to find good sushi in Dublin.. I had this place recommended by a bunch of locals who raved about it, but it was so not up to par. I'm not sure if standards are just low in Dublin because no one has had good sushi or what- but this place is lame. The shrimp was... More

This is my favourite sushi restaurant in Dublin. The food is always spot on, the service is good and the atmosphere is great. I would recommend giving this place a try if you are a sushi lover. It is a little more pricey in comparison to other sushi restaurants in Dublin but well worth the little bit extra in my... More
