We ended up here after looking for somewhere to eat for a while. It has a great value 2 course menu. My partner had the stew which he said was lovely whilst I had the steak, which unfortunately was asked for medium/rare and was more well done unfortunately and the reason for my low score as the steak was chewy... We had evening dinner here, the atmosphere was that of a lovely quaint pub with interesting artefacts/stories on the wall. The food was really lovely, great choice of menu including traditional pub food options with big portions. Value for money as well as there was a starter and main course deal option. Will definitely be back here.

Conveniently located in Temple Bar street. Very nicely decorated. Great food. Big portions. Decent prices. Good service. You seat very close to your neighbors but it's part of the personality of the place.

Looking at the Old Mill in the heart of Temple Bar you're pretty sure it's going to be a tourist trap with so-so food. After having to wait for a good 30 minutes on a busy summer night I had low expectations. Well, it IS full of tourists but the food is very good and the wait staff is excellent.... More

Dropped in here after a whistlestop tour of Dublin. Lots of options on Temple Bar to choose from but this was appealing as wasn't too busy. Menu was pretty wide, some irish favourites there too. reasonably priced, when using the early evening menu. Nice atmosphere in the heart of Temple Bar....

First night in Dublin and wanted something to eat, stumbled upon the old mill and was not disappointed. Food great, service just as good.

We kind of stumbled onto this place in the Temple Bar, after wandering around for 30 minutes looking for someplace to eat... My initial impression wasn't favorable, as it seemed like more of an 'Irish-themed' restaurant, but turns out it's one of the oldest in the area. The food was excellent - I had the fish and chips - and... More

Decided on this place after the usual family debate about where to eat having already looked at loads of places. Reasonable, if predictable, menu that tasted good and in decent semi-authentic Guinness-themed surroundings upstairs. Decent price too considering the location, but very courteous and prompt service too, despite the busy atmosphere. Stuffed after only the main course!! Yep, give it... More

Stumbled upon this place by chance after being persuaded by the girl outside to try it out .went for the two course special at a very reasonable price of €17.95.the waiter recommended the leek and potato soup as a starter and the beef and Guinness stew for main course..the food was excellent and was a great recommendation.stayed for a baileys... We ate here one afternoon with friends. Starter and main course for €18 and we had cheap beer too. Excellent.
