Best Cottage Pie(Shepherds Pie)

Gave this a shot and so glad we did. We were looking for a restaurant that served Shepherds Pie and they were one of a few that had Cottage Pie which is very similar to it. Excellent! Large portion and enough for two but, you'll want to keep it all to yourself. Good service and reasonably... read more

The restaurant was busy, as soon as a table was empty it was refilled. Great traditional Irish food. The beef stew was so lovely. I had soup as a starter that was delicious. Excellent value for money, staff were all lovely, very attentive. The girl outside who was giving out fliers must have been freezing but she certainly showed us... More

I dined at "The Old Mill" on Sunday, 24 January. I had been there a year before and had enjoyed my meal thoroughly. I began with a potato & leek soup, pleasurably served with fresh soda bread and butter. The soup was tasty and creamy indeed, the ideal start for a winter meal after a day on the streets of... More

The Old Mill Restaurant is situated in the vibrant Temple Bar District. It has a great lunch menu, including traditional Irish meals. Their Braised Beef & Guinness Stew (with Guinness and red wine) is just perfect, as well as sandwiches. The atmosphere is nice and cosy, and if you go upstairs, you can enjoy the view. The place is budget-friendly,... More

Lovely quaint little restaurant, was very busy, but they quickly got us a table ready! Breakfast was lovely! Good value too! Overall great experience, wish we went again during our stay in Dublin!

Id like to begin by apologising for the previous review as my colleague certainly didn't speak for the rest of our party who found the food excellent. Our waiter was extremely professional and courteous, especially when dealing with this extremely rude friend who became quite aggressive and began to swear at staff when he wasn't happy with his food. He... More

Visited the restaurant for a lovely meal. Had previously looked at the photos on trip advisor and was not disappointed. For starters we had mussels and salmon and prawn bisque. Both lovely and nice size portions. For main course we had the double burger and fish. Again both well presented and very nice. We had 2 glasses of wine and... More

And so at 10pm I find myself home in bed due to a truly horrific experience at this restaurant. I can safely say I have had THE worst dining experience of my life this evening. What should have been a pleasant pre-Christmas meal with friends and colleagues became an utter disaster. And ultimately it wasn't the substandard food which was... More
