We have eaten here twice before at lunch time and really enjoyed it, so when we were in Dublin on a Saturday night out recently we decided to try it for dinner. Despite having no reservation and the fact the place was packed with Christmas revelers we were given a table within minutes of arriving. The front of house manager,... More

I'm delighted to give Salamanca Tapas Bar and Restaurant on Andrew Street a plug here as it's one of the best value restaurants in Dublin, I organised a lunch for 12 of my mates for out annual jolly boys outing yesterday and Salamanca looked after us royally, We didn't have tapas as the group was so big but opted for... The food was beautiful. Our service was excellent. The atmosphere was buzzing and Christmasy. Maybe the hostess seemed a bit edgy but the place works. We came in to check out the tapas and they were delicious. The albondigas and the pate were outstanding but we had no complaints about any of the plates. They even offered more bread, to... More

Tonight would have been my third time to visit the restaurant and although the food is beautiful, the service is absolutely awful. The hostess had and still has an awful attitude towards the public. She works with people daily, but yet seems to struggle with basic manners. "The customer is always right", not a matra followed here. A mistake that... More

Went here with 4 colleagues and we had a fabulous lunch such great value. Lunch was €10, €1 extra for steak. We had the calamari, sorrano ham croquettes, chicken wings and focaccia for starters and no complaints. 2 had steak for mains and said it was fantastic, I had the ravioli which was gorgeous and 1 had turkey which she... We were there on a sunday and we asked for the Christmas Lunch Menu. It was only €12 and to be honest that was a very good deal and the food was good. Obviously is not exactly the same as our spanish food but it is defo a good pleace to go. Highly recommeded

Lunched here today, and really enjoyed it. Very busy afternoon but service was fabulous as always. Great Christmas atmosphere here. Lovely friendly staff, nothing is too much bother, and Charlie on the cash desk was charming to deal with. I had the deep fried calamari for starters and the chorizo burger for mains, delicious ! Topped off with a divine... More

From previous experiences I very rarely dine out during December as the food and service is often very poor. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service and the quality of the food. I had toasted focaccia and linguini con pollo etc for 10euro. The wine list here is extensive and is not a rip off. I had a... More

Nothing went well at Salamanca. We had booked a table for 7.30 and arrived a few minutes in advance. The restaurant was jammed. There was nowhere to stand where we were not in the way. The noise was dreadful. There were 4 of us and a table for 4 came free about 15 minutes after our arrival. It was not... More

I was extremely impressed with my visit. Had an amazing meal. The staters all the way to the dessert was great. Shocked it wasn't rated higher.
