Amazing venue, disappointing food

I’ve been to the bar before and is really nice, cool relaxed atmosphere and though a little bit overpriced it’s worth the price. The restaurant is unfortunately another story, the venue is truly amazing, in the bottoms of the chq building, a former tobacco and wine warehouse, the ambience and the decoration are stunning, no questions about it. A memorable valentines meal. Seafood platter was delicious and well presented. Ate early whilst watching the rugby so both of us satisfied. Helpful staff and good service

Me and my Fiancée recently booked a 4 day break to Dublin, which was our first visit together! We wanted to make it a special one so took to Google to find some decent restaurants. Ely Bar & Brasserie stood out for us as the old whiskey and tobacco warehouse looked amazing for a fancy eatery. We read many good... More

My last review of Ely was quite mixed. I have visited many times and we ran into a couple of bad experiences over the course of a few weeks. The manager did reach out to me to apologise and offered a nice gesture in return. We returned for dinner and I have to say it was a really enjoyable night... More

This place kind of has a free run in the area, not much of competition around it. Upstairs there is a bar that can be quite lively in evening, downstairs a very big space for lunch/dinner. The downstairs is huge, that means that it can become very busy meaning that the noise can be quite loud and as the tables... More

Called in on the way to the Point for a concert. Service excellent and very professional ensured we finished in time to walk up to the venue. Even though the restaurant was full on a busy Saturday night still quick and friendly. That was Katherine. The wine we picked was out of stock so we got a better bottle for... More

I was here for a midweek work dinner. The restaurant wasn't heavily busy, so I can't comment on what it's like at the weekend, but the service for us was attentive and excellent. The food was very good too - I had the steak and it was rare just as I asked (so often asking for rare means getting medium... More

Myself and two friends booked a meal in this Restaurant. We arrived on schedule and enjoyed a drink in the bar prior to being escorted to our table. The Restaurant was busy on that evening. The menu was delivered by a very good and informative waiter who took plenty time to explain the various options as well as advising on... More

Went for a nice meal to catch up with friends. Unfortunately the only table available, even though we booked in advance, was inside the door and we were sitting in a cold breeze for the evening. Of the two waiters serving our table, one was fantastic, the other, not so good. The food was lovely. Pity we couldn't enjoy it... More
