Myself and my husband stayed in Jury's hotel Friday two weeks ago as I had a course in the city to attend, it was a long day and traffic was very busy with Take That in town.We didn't fancy the menu in the hotel and Ely was recommended to us. The bar was very crowded there as many were having... More

A restaurant in a beautiful setting. The service is great, the food delicious - mostly organic, sourced from their own farm. Prices reasonable for the quality of the food.

Based in an 1820 building, in the heart of Dublin's Financial Services Centre, Eli Bar & Brasserie is a gem. I hadn't eaten in the restaruant for quite a while and then I was there twice in four days. The first was a Saturday night with a close group of friends and the food was excellent. You know the food... More

It was my first visit which was wonderful. From the moment we arrived it was great service all the way. The setting was wonderful and historic, down underground in the old Custom House cellars. They used to house the Bonded Warehouse for Wine, Whiskey Brandy and so on.Upstairs was for Tobacco etc. I was reliably informed by the very helpful Manager... More

Well we booked on line and were concerned when we arrived it was packed and very noisy but we were asked to go down the steps to an undercroft were soft lighting and atmospheric seating awaited us. The food was good quality, we went for the early bird menu before we went to the 3 arena. Food was served well... More

Greeted by a member of staff who told us to go down stairs rather than guiding us to our table. We were met eventually by a flustered waiter who had poor understanding of what we wanted. We had to prompt for a drinks order, he then brought the beer and not my wine. Eventually came back with a warm glass... More

Had a tasty burger in Ely recently but the service was extremely slow (the staff were lovely but all very inexperienced from what I could see) and it's definitely over-priced.

The service was ok although we were forgotten about twice; once when we were waiting to order desserts and again after we asked for the bill. Waitresses were very friendly and helpful. Had duck for the starter and it was so tough that it was very hard to cut through, and was a bit bland tasting. I had the partridge... More
