Wonderful Italian restaurant in Grafton Street area

Excellent food and service. Seems to be a family owned and operated restaurant in the Grafton Street area of Dublin. Service was impeccable...food scrumptious. The only down side was that the table area was a bit cramped...I never like feeling shoehorned.

We had a few hours left until we had to be at the airport for our flight home so we were looking for a last meal in Dublin. Grafton Street was very busy being a Saturday so we went looking for a restaurant down side streets. We came across Chatham Lane (just off Grafton Street) and Pizza Stop. We thought... More

Food was ok. Atmosphere was terrible. No fun or craic from the waiting staff.... We had 2 small kids with us and got the distinct impression they weren't welcome (no highchair and general glaring at them, particularly when our 1 year old who has medical issues was unwell and gagged up some of his bottle!!). My 4 year old wanted... More

This place may be hard to find. We just happened to look down a side street on our last day. We were very happy that we found it. Red and white checkered tablecloths and all, this looks and feels like an Italian restaurant. The selection and service was good. The food was excellent. If we found it sooner we would... More

Just up Chatham Lane from our hotel and near Grafton Street we found Pizza Stop. Our taxi driver coming in from the airport told us about it. It's casual, not very big, with a friendly Italian staff and a very authentic Italian vibe. I had a nice green salad and simple spaghetti olio which was perfect. My wife had a... More

I ate here twice on my last visit to Dublin, the end of December 2014. It is a favorite haunt of one of my good friends, who is a member of The Dublin Legends, and he and his family go there on a regular basis. This time, we were there with a good sized family and good friends group and... More

Ate there on Sunday evening after the 6 Nations match, very hungry, very cold, so it was a joy to eat tasty hot food. The roast suckling pig and homemade Italian sausages were a delight, just the thing on a cold day. The house white and red were robust, the white steely and citrusy, the red full of red fruit... Always a favourite with our family whenever we visit the city centre. The pizzas are just divine and are cooked to perfection each time. Traditional accompaniments like their Pizza Stop Chilli Oil should be obligatory in all Italian restaurants worldwide!! Pastas are authentic and the Pollo Diavola is nice and spicy !! Service is always attentive and very friendly and... More
