My second time in the restaurant, great night, and the high standard is still maintained. Food is delicious, and the atmosphere lively. Fairly priced for good food, would recommend to anyone.

My boyfriend took me here recently as he is a French man and very picky when it comes to his food. Well I assure you, both of us were not disappointed. The food was excellent! The presentation was beautiful, portion size was good (we were not left feeling hungry after a 3 course meal anyway) and the service was friendly... More

Everything we had here was gourmet. Go early for special which included special price on wine also. You feel like you are in a Paris Bistro.

I have been dinning at La Mere Zou for many years during each of my stays in Dublin and always enjoys the food quality, presentation, and its originality. The staff is always friendly, efficient and everything is prepared and served the French way!

Ideal restaurant to invite a client for lunch. Excellent food, not too heavy, good glass of wine. That's what a business lunch is about.

Didn't live up to its own hype. Last saturday as we were seated we were hounded by a staff member for our choice of wine before we even had a chance to examine food menu. She even commented she was being intrusive . As one our friends was vegetarian she chose this restaurant on the evidence of its menu as... More

From Eric Tydgadt, owner of La mere Zou; Thank you for your review, we read it with interest! Our menus, and style of cuisine, is clearly stated across the internet as "Classic French Cuisine". We do offer vegetarian dishes on our menus, but Classic French Cuisine pretty clearly states that we offer dishes that are based on seasonal meats; classic... More

This was a real find - we were just walking past and the menu caught our eye, and without reservations, walked in. Service: excellent - spotted with French wait-staff, they were terrific. Food: excellent - the duck a'lorange was better than anything in a Parisian restaurant Value: excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely return next time in Dublin.

This delightful, intimate restaurant is a great place for an intimate dinner or a casual evening with friends. The international staff is welcoming and efficient, and the kitchen turns out delicious, traditional French dishes worthy of a first rate Parisian bistrot. The location, in the basement of a Georgian town house, across from the beautiful Saint Stevens Green, is in... More
