French cuisine, French waiters, great location, good value!!

The food was genuine French , location opposite St Stevens green was very central to Dublins shopping area, Resturant atmosphere was friendly with attentive service, and moreover the prices were very competitive,

My wife and I visited our favourite French restaurant in Dublin again today, thanks to a recent special offer made by the restaurant itself. For €26 per lunch for two, we have had six lunches for €78. Given that this is a first class restaurant where we are made to feel like one of the family this is indeed really... More

Only dined here twice but have enjoyed it each time. Great location on Stephen's green and handy to all the shopping. Limited menu but everything on it is good and represents good value for money so no hesitation in recommending it.

I booked here to dine with cousins who had flown in from US. We had a lovely round table for the 6 of us and our waiter was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meal except the 2 of us who had duck! It was full of sinew and impossible to cut or eat. However when it was pointed out to... More

I have previously had lunch in La Mere Zou but recently went with family for an early bird dinner. It was excellent and exceptional value. This is bistro food, not fine dining, but nonetheless all our courses were beautifully presented. Service was very pleasant and efficient. For me this is one of the best value places to eat in Dublin.

Looking for a pre-theatre bite to eat, we were very pleasantly surprised to spot the menu for La Mere Zou when walking along St Stephen's Green. We had just over an hour before needing to get to the theatre,.. no problem at all, The food, for me a glazed carrot starter and superb pork chop with kale, spaghetti squash and... More

I dropped into La Mere Zou on a two-for- one lunch voucher earlier this summer.. LmZ is located in a basement in a prime location on St Stephen’s Green near Kildare Street. I arrived sans partner and was dining alone. I was given a warm welcome by Gosia , seated and was informed that, as my partner could not make... More

Situated below stairs with a small but pleasant outside terrace, this fine resturant offers really good food albeit a little on the expensive side. The service was attentive and timely and there is a good choice of wine and special dishes. I would certainly eat there again.

We were in Dublin for my wife's birthday and had actually booked the restaurant in advance on the back of some good reviews on Trip Advisor! It was a great experience - you drop down into the basement where the restaurant is just off St Stephen's Green so the location is brilliant and the ambience is of a nice, secret... More

We had a romantic dinner there. Food was profound and deliciously amazing! We took starter, main and dessert and enjoyed in every bite. Price was reasonable considering the quality, service was friendly and accommodating, ambient is small but cosy and well decorated (flower bouquets and candles, nice little details etc). Definitely will come back!
