The style is clean and modern, the music hip, but the focus at Bang is on the food. The atmosphere is conducive for a romantic dinner, girls night out meal before heading to Temple Bar, or business, and there were all types in attendance when we visited. Lunch was superior. Bang falls below Aniar in Galway. Aniar has a Michelin star but above its local competitors, Hugo and Pearl. Service was excellent and helpful. The veal carpaccio (called something else on the menu) and the risotto were fabulous. My wife loved the veal meatballs. Our waitress helped us with dinner reservations as well. It was one our... Don't get me wrong. The food is good and the service is ok. But is not worth what you pay for it. We had a 5 course tasting menu at 60€pp. Nothing in the menu was spectacular so I don't think it justifies the price. We were just happy we had a Groupon voucher with 2 tasting menus for the... More

They kindly let us have the pre-theatre dinner even though I think we were a little too late, expensive all the same. Nice food beautifully served, so if you're looking for a nice evening, can recommend. One niggle, they could have refilled the coffee!

enjoyable food but the service is slow despite their need for bouncer type head gear, through which they must communicate with the kitchen. Expensive for what is served, however there is some flair in the cooking and a nice atmosphere and interior.

Hosted a group dinner there of 38 people in March of 2015. We were in a private room. The food was very good in general. The ribeye that I had was ok. The service was a bit slow between courses, probably owing to the size of the group. We apparently consumed 26 bottles of wine during the meal so it... More

Went with a group. Very good food and service. Possibility off hosting big groups in a separate room. Suggestions by the team were great and spot on. Loved the veal. A restaurant to explore with some attention in a small group to get a better picture of full capacities.

Had a lovely meal last night, the cod was just fantastic. Service staff were very attentive. Only a tiny complaint about the size of the tables, which are tiny and perhaps ideal for a romantic couple but not so for two (not exactly petite) gentlemen. Not exactly a cheap restaurant, but location and quality were very good.

We both had the 5-course tasting menu with recommended wine pairings. The food was enjoyable, highlight being the desert which was superb, a whole sensory experience. Staff reasonably attentive even when busy. Wine portions were a little conservative but some of the pairings were well chosen, a good Horgelus. Atmosphere was definitely a plus and we really enjoyed our seat... More

Went to Bang as a party of four, none of whom had been before. What a delightful restaurant. The staff were very courteous and attentive without being intrusive. All four of us agreed that the food was some of the best we had tasted in a long time. Each course was equally tasteful and beautifully presented. So glad I tried... More
