Description: Thornton's Restaurant is an award winning Michelin starred restaurant...
Thornton's Restaurant is an award winning Michelin starred restaurant located in the heart of Dublin City overlooking the leafy expanse of St Stephen's Green. Innovative and exquisite cuisine, presentation referred to as 'artwork on a plate' and service often compared to a theatrical performance make for a truly memorable experience at Thornton's Restaurant. There is attention to detail in every aspect of the experience, from the intricate food through to the impressive wine list and professional service. Our changing menu reflects the seasonal and local produce available to us and underpins our passion for reigniting the importance of the seasons. Working closely with our providers that supply us with the highest quality of ingredients, we can ensure that our produce is ethically sourced, sustainable and most importantly the best we can obtain. Head Chef and Proprietor Kevin Thornton is widely regarded as Ireland's best chef. Having featured in everything from the Irish Times to the New York Times, Thornton's is celebrated as one of the best restaurants in Ireland and is also internationally commended.

This is a top notch restaurant with one star in the Michellin guide. The food was excellent and we were greeted and treated very well in the beginning. However as the evening progressed it seemed as though some of the staff left! As an example we needed to pour our wine ourselves - I know this sounds as I'm complaining... More

I had lunch in Thornton's recently with my wife, and it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food was, as expected, excellent, but this visit was memorable for another reason, the staff and service. The waitress who served us (a French girl named Camille) went above and beyond. We had dined in Thornton's a... More

Speechless, every time we come we are blown away by what's presented to us. Kevin is truly a great chef. Always pleasant service, the one draw back is the stupidly overpriced wine list, quite inaccessible.

We visited Dublin for a short break as part of my husband's birthday treat. He spent a lot of time checking the menus of various restaurants to ensure I, a non-meat eater, would enjoy the food. Thornton's was an excellent choice. We thought the €75 menu was very good value. I note another reviewer who was less pleased with the... More

This is a 1 star Michelin restaurant within the Fitzwilliam Hotel that, in my opinion, deserves to be a 2 star. We had a great meal there - both the presentation and the taste of the dishes we ordered were excellent. The service was equally fantastic, and I would go there again without hesitation.

The food, wine, service, and chef (Kevin Thornton) are all terrific here! If you care about fine dining - yes, in Ireland! - this is the place to go. Everything was wonderful, the attitude is welcoming, and you'll remember such a grand experience long after you waft gently out the door.

High class dining at its very best. Absolutely devine. The service was impeccable although it was a little annoying to see the chef popping out with dishes all the time. This was part of my 60th birthday treat from my son, so I dont know how much it cost, but I do know it was quite expensice. Well worth booking... More
