Really enjoyed this place. The dishes were small but I came out full - lovely tastes and the cheese board had good Irish cheese.

could not fault the food even if I wanted to - especially as we were served by Kevin himself!! It is expensive so certainly for us it was a special occasion and it will be another special occasion that would take us back. A specific mention for the sommelier who was so informative and helpful with his recommendations - all... More

We visited here for a meal on a weeknight and were amazed by the quality of the good and the outstanding service too. The three courses were absolutely delicious and presented really well; the cheese board in particular was fantastic with such a wide range of cheeses available too. I would fully recommend this place for a special occasion!

Had dinner with family here. One of the most stimulating, visually amazing and tasting experiences we have ever had. Extraordinary combinations, plating and wine pairing. I really don't know what else to say other than go there.

We were in a Dublin for a weekend and ended it with a meal at Thorntons. From beginning to end Kevin Thorntons personal touch was felt as he warmly introduced himself and he continued throughout the meal to come out from the kitchen and explain the background of his dishes. The food was delicious, creative and beautifully presented. We had... More

Been to many Michelin star restaurants and this was the best I have ever been to. Food and service was impeccable, could not be faulted. Everything on the plate worked perfectly and the wine we were recommended was equally good. We will definitely be going back when next in Dublin and I can't stop recommending it!

We visited Thorntons over the weekend and I have to say it was fantastic. My wife and I have visited many fine dining resteraunts and this was by far the best. The staff, ambiance, food and wine were the best we have experienced. Kevin Thornton was by far the most creative chef that we have met on our travels. He... More

This is a top notch restaurant with one star in the Michellin guide. The food was excellent and we were greeted and treated very well in the beginning. However as the evening progressed it seemed as though some of the staff left! As an example we needed to pour our wine ourselves - I know this sounds as I'm complaining... More

I had lunch in Thornton's recently with my wife, and it was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food was, as expected, excellent, but this visit was memorable for another reason, the staff and service. The waitress who served us (a French girl named Camille) went above and beyond. We had dined in Thornton's a... More
