Good Variety Of Food, Good Location

This couldn't really be in a better location, right across the street from Temple Bar itself, so if you need something to soak up the Guinness, this is as good a place as any. The interior is tastefully decorated and the seating comfortable and roomy. For a bit of a change and as we were only... read more

We were going to go to Temple Bar but was put off by the amount of people spilling out of the place, I don't think we would've been able to get through the door (& it was a Sunday night), but the Shack was right next door so we opted for here. Very good friendly service from John and his... More

Delicious food and great location and atmosphere. Our extended family of five enjoyed the most memorable dinner here this month (June 2015). From our table, we could watch the action at Temple Bar while dining. Each one of us had a different entree and appetizer, all of which were delicious. The desserts were divine. Best profiterole and Irish coffee we've... More

On a four day trip to Dublin we eat twice in the Shack as it was sooo good. One of the only places where all three courses were perfect. On our second visit the staff not only remembered us but also what we had, thanks Dora. I would give this place more than 5 stars if possible.

We sat outside directly opposite the famous Temple bar pub. Great place, decent food. The service was friendly and efficient. Good value for money as we had 2 for 1 voucher from the city sightseeing tour.

The Shack has a nice restaurant atmosphere without being super expensive. It has very good food and the service was very good. In a good location in the Temple Bar area.

Reasonable food priced in a way you would expect for the tourist trap which it Temple Bar. Speedy service, and good choice, good quality but expensive. They serve half pints of beer and Guinness at the price you would expect pints, but most shockingly the Guinness comes from (or at least did when we were there) from cans. Shameful!

I wandered into this restaurant one day for lunch, completely by chance. I'm so glad I did because it was such a good experience! The staff were really friendly and attentive. I had the traditional Irish stew and it was absolutely delicious!! I couldn't get enough of it! This restaurant also has a good location, being centrally located within Temple... More

I was more interested in the conversations and people watching as I was the food. Generous portion of sirloin and cooked well but it did not stand out. The manager was nice and so was the waitress. Just felt over priced

We ate here without checking reviews first but it was a very nice lunch. I had beef & Guinness stew which contained a lot a succulent beef in a rich gravy with potatoes and veg. The service was very friendly and prompt but we never felt rushed. Prices decent considering the area. Free water on the table. One minus point... More
