As usual - fabulous steaks. Have eaten here several times and its expensive but a lovely treat. This was our first time to order starters and dessert and next time I don't think I would bother. One of our group ordered the Cesar salad which came with no dressing and was just a plate full of lettuce with minimal cheese... More

A few of us treated ourselves to lunch in Shanahans recently - it was a place that we'd long wanted to check out. Even as a vegetarian, I've long been curious about it even as a building. When making the reservation, we did check that the veggie at a steakhouse wouldn't be left to starve - not to worry they... More

It's been about eighteen months since I had been to the restaurant. I loved it. Not so much this time... The Oval Office Bar was totally empty. Service was good, but a glass of champagne at that price was just silly. The Caesar salad was ok. Just ok. The New York steaks were not cooked to order and sending them... More

Visited here with my boyfriend on a Friday evening. We opted for the early bird, which was 3 courses followed by tea/coffee and petit fours. The bread to begin was wonderful! A loaf of cheese bread with a muffin (I think cheese and onion). Both were extremely tasty and fresh. I went for the trio of smoked salmon on a... More

Dined there last Saturday night and overall terrible. Service unfriendly. Initially ushered to the Oval bar for pre dinner drinks but took them 10 mins to take drinks order. When eventually we were seated at our dining table it look another long time to be given the menus. When we remarked on length of time to get the menus we... More

Located on St Stephens Green Dublin this restaurant is expensive but ideal for a special occasion. The early menu starting at 5:30 is very good value. While know as a steakhouse I choose a fish dish which was excellent,.

Took our son to Shanahans to celebrate the completion of his Leaving Cert exams. The steak is certainly excellent and if I was ever to go back I would definitely order this. The two steak eaters were very happy with their meal, but I decided to have three starters and it did not really work very well overall. My first... More

Our wine glassed were never empty. The food was very good, especially the main course. The even brought us out petit feurs on a plate with Bon Voage printed on it. A... More

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary. It's very pricey, so definitely a place to reserve for a special occasion. Their attention to detail is incredible though. The waiters are very attentive and the room is beautiful. Very romantic so perfect for a date. The bread they began with was incredible; still warm from the oven, they... More

This restaurant comes with a terrific reputation. I brought my two daughters to celebrate the youngest's 21st birthday. The food is good. Primarily steak and excellent at that. The chips were excellent but the vegetables lacked imagination. However no steak is worth €50 euro no matter how good. The price of was was about 4 times cost and not worth... More
