I went for dinner with friends whom paid for the meal, so I was very lucky I didn't have to pay for the meal here, prices were crazy! 8e for a bowl of mash as a side?! That's madness i don't see how prices like that can be charged for a side of potatoes! A big bag only cost about 4-5e,... More

Nice little entrance Nice historic building. Average, tho pleasant service. Food would be in any 3 star restaurant .No complaints. For this meal, we treated our Dublin friends. For the Euro paid , we could all have flown to Paris, and eaten in a better restaurant. The wine would have been better value. I don't want to be unfair to... More

This was a business dinner so I can't comment on price but everything I had was delicious. Started with a huge warm spinach salad quite tasty. Then had the 8 oz filet cooked to perfection with an assortment of sides. Finished with a huge Oreo cheesecake. Only complaint is I hate to waste food and there was no way one... More

We visited Shanahan's on the Green during our stay in Dublin in June 2014. The service, wine & food were superb. It was a little fancier than expected, but maybe because we had been visiting pubs. Prices were a little high too.

...and the service is excellent, but the place is slightly overrated, and overpriced for what you get. I ordered the Pork, which was dry and overcooked. The onion rings are quite delicious as is the mash. The drinks are generously poured, but then again the price matches the measure. This is a place to come for a special occasion, and... More

Was super excited to go to Shanahans but we were sooo disappointed. Unless you plan on eating steak do not go here. The menu is terribly limited, steak (numerous choices) or fish (two fish choices). The sides are super expensive and not worth the money. It was not possible to have baby potatoes as a side (????). On the plus... More

Upscale classy steakhouse but without the attitude that can sometimes comes with great quality. Online I noticed my favorite wine on their list, when ordering I didn't see it on the menu. The manager went to the wine cellar to double check and found a bottle. We so appreciated the extra effort!! The steaks were perfect and the service exceptional.... More

Visited Shanahan's mid-July with my big son, Joshua. Josh had the 24 oz rib-eye and I had something a WHOLE lot smaller. Both, as you might expect at Shanahan's, were cooked to perfection. Oh, and Josh was particularly impressed with the waiter's 'crumb-collector'!

Excellent service and outstanding food. My wife is celiac and was delighted when they served her freshly made gluten free bread still hot.
