Wow, steak to die for!

Went her to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary after a recommendation from a friend. What a lovely evening, from start to finish the service was exemplary and the food sublime. Steak was melt in the mouth and the creamed potato was the best I have ever eaten. Lovely touch at the end as the... read more

This was my second visit to the restaurant. I wrote a glowing review after my first visit but unfortunately standards in service have slipped dramatically since then. I must say that the female members of staff were very friendly but every male member of staff we encountered after that were not so friendly. Our waiter never smiled at us at... More

I had been really looking forward to eating at this restaurant as a number of my friends had been raving about how great it was. On arrival we were greeted by a host and directed to the bar to await our table however it was 40 minutes after our reservation time that we were brought to our table. There is... More

This is a fantastic restaurant. The service is very good indeed. The manager is highly visible and runs a good ship. The food is excellent, big portions and very high quality. Decent value too.

We dined here on a Friday night and the restaurant was nicely busy but not packed. The steak was the best we've ever eaten and desserts were delicious too. I think if we return we won't bother with a starter as they weren't anything special. Great service and friendly staff too

My daughter is going to school in Dublin so when I was in town to visit I took her to Shanahan's for a steak. The quality of meat, and the rest of the food as well, was every bit as good as a Chicago kid would want. The room, meal and service were all perfect. I am looking forward to... More

Good service, terrific steaks and lovely wine. Those seeking a transcendental dining experience will be disappointed but those looking for top class cooking in a lovely setting will congratulate themselves on their good judgement in selecting Shanahan's. Overall this was very good experience and the party all enjoyed the evening. Would definitely recommend and return.

Four of us dined there last night. We arrived at 18:00 in time for the early bird which comprises three courses for €50. The food was excellent. The first taste was a beautiful brown bread , cut in slices in the middle of the table-tasty, inviting, satisfying .The starter was oak-smoked Irish salmon with pastrani and blini. It was wonderful.... More

I had wanted to try Shanahan's for some time but always seemed to leave it too late for a reservation. This time we planned in advance and boy was it worth it. From beginning to end, everything about Shanahan's creates a perfect feeling of relaxation. Whether that's the exceptional & welcoming service in the Oval Office Bar, the lovely friendly... More
