Great beers, staff and music

Had a drink here yesterday. Their Plain Porter is amazing, I prefer it to Guinness. We had a really friendly barman and there was a great music session in the late afternoon. I highly recommend this bar.

Found it difficult to find anything other than burgers and pizza in Dublin. Porterhouse had a fairly good Irish stew and some good beers. Got great service at the bar (table was 45 min wait) and very friendly bar staff.

My husband and I just spent a few days in Dublin. On our second night in Dublin we came across Porterhouse. Hungry, and looking for a few good brews we stopped in. I had the Old Smokey burger while he had the bangers and mash. Neither of us were disappointed! The bangers were more brauts than the other bangers we've... More

It was our first night in Dublin and we were staying nearby. The selection of ales certainly got the men in the group interested. We ended up having a meal here too. A very busy place, but a nice atmosphere and an amazing selection of ales. The prices aren't the cheapest you would find by a long shot but well... More

At one time a favourite bar of mine, sadly no longer. I've not eaten here in a couple of years but went back recently. The food was very poor, both my dish and my partners. I had the peri peri chicken, and my partner the steak sandwich. The quality of the ingredients was very poor. The chicken seemed like a... More

Enjoyed pints of 2 locally brewed alternatives to Guiness, both flavoursome and in good condition. Taken there by a local. Didn't bother to eat there.

We only had a pint here, but the place is very cool and the beers are great. I'd recommend having lunch or dinner here as the dining area is lovely.

AVOID THIS PLACE! VERY AGGRESSIVE IN-HOUSE BOUNCERS!!! Was kicked out of the bar injured after enquiring why I had to remove from watching the band standing on the stairs. There is a sign that says to keep the stairs clear. That must be there for keeping it clear when the place is full I understand and makes sense as serving... More

Here you can find one of the greatest selections of beers in Dublin (definitely the biggest I found and they're all produced by The Porterhouse brewery). Nice place, very typical, with a great atmosphere.
