In a basement in St. Stephen`s Green. We hadn`t booked, but luckily my host was known to the management and we were shown to a table immediately. The restaurant filled rapidly, so bookings, even during the week, would be essential. Very good menu, together with a fine wine list.

A wine bar and restaurant, a few steps away from the Shelbourne, right on St Stephen’s Green. On a busy Saturday night, we could only secure dining at the bar counter. Good and friendly service from the staff behind the bar. Wide range of interesting seafood and meat dishes from the menu. We settled for the dry-aged Irish steaks and... More

One of those food nights where you sit down and dont rise Staff whom serve food that one cannot criticese. A restaurant that survives on its staff. Where is the manager the Chef the Owner I enjoy paying for good food but not to restaurant managers and Chefs who are never seen in the restaurant that try to sell to... More

The décor is superb but food is OK and service is slow. Had really high expectation of this place but got out a little bit disappointed. It was an elevation of form over substance. Nevertheless, it is a nice looking place...

Ate here on a Saturday night as part of a group of eight. We were left waiting without any attention in the cramped bar area. Nothing seemed to be happening, couldn't get a drink while waiting, and had to ask if we could be seated. We were pretty quickly once we asked! My overriding memory of the night though was... More

Had a great lazy Saturday afternoon lunch. Excellent food and service. Only drawback was the table near us with one participant who insisted on shouting. But not their fault. I will deffo be back. Had stunning venison.

I was treated to dinner in Peploes recently. What a disappointment! On arrival we were infonmed that the table wasn't ready and the rceptionist seemed distracted and told us to have a dri nk and wait at bar.The "bar area " was very crowded with large groups. Were they allso waiting for tables? Ten minutes later at our request we were... More

I have wonderful memories of a great dining experience at Peploe's. The wine selection is excellent and the A La Carte menu provides great choice. I would recommend the Rack of Irish Lamb.

Saturday lunch...a pure delight. Walking in off the street with no reservation we were Initially disconcerted that there was only a couple of other people dining there, however within 30 mins we had been joined by diners at at least 6 other tables ...lwhich certainly brought a better buzz to the place. Starters of autumn salad and gravadlax were followed... More

Good food here but they really want to rip you off! Refused (!) to put a jug of tap water on the table (policy apparently!) and spent a lot of time topping everyone up with mineral water. Some people asked for tap water but got only one glass which wasn't replenished. This is policy. This is cynical. This is poor!
