Good Food, Limited Seating

We went to O'Neills for a quick dinner on a Thursday after walking around Dublin. We got there around 1830. The bar/restaurant had a deli-type sandwich bar and a carvery (a cafeteria-type line where they carve the meat). It was very crowded. So crowded in fact that we couldn't find a single... read more

This pub was reccommended to us by a taxi driver, who told us that they had good pub food. This was indeed the case, and we had some amazing fresh oysters and some nice lamb and mash from the carvery. We later went back for more food, and was equally satisfied. O'Neill's Bar and Restaurant has the old Irish pub... More

Close to the University, and one of the employees there suggested this place to us. Popular with the locals which is always a good sign. Lamb stew, and pork special with mashed and carrots. Large portions. Cafeteria style. Fast. 24 Euros for two which is very affordable. If this review is helpful then please indicate so below.

Very famous pub in dublin, well know for its Guinness stew. Marvellous interior and furniture very typical, if you never been there please go and breath some piece of Dublin. I retried Gunness Stew with my family this June after some years but I have to be honest, a kind and big dish but meet was just a few piece... More

Stumbled into this place after a long day of jet lag and exploring Dublin, wasn't at the top of our list for dining out but was convenient to where we were and we weren't up for a fancy meal. Very glad we decided to stop here. Atmosphere was great, the best draft beer selections I came across in Ireland and... More

Cool Irish Pub in an area that there is a cool Irish Pub every 50 feet! We enjoyed their breakfast one morning, with good eggs, ham, bacon and veggie omelet. Very filling. Coffee was good as well. Service was average, nothing special, but not irritating or bad, just average. Most patrons I'm sure had hangovers, so it was fairly quiet.... More

Was over in Dublin for the Republic of Ireland v Scotland euro 2016 qualifier, and after attending the game me and friends walked into town in search of a bar for beer and food, and after trying place after place we finally stumbled on O'Neill's. Found a couple of tables and after checking the menu I went up to order... More

We stopped by for lunch due to the strong Trip Advisor reviews. We were not disappointed. The food was fresh and the portions are huge! Try the cheese plate...top rate.

O'Neills did not look like your typical Irish pub. It actually looked like an old home that had been made into a pub with several lovely wood-lined rooms. They had two bars and an upstairs area. If you wanted food you went to another room and it was served cafeteria style. The food was okay, but give me a smaller... More

We took our taxi driver's advice to go here for a good meal on our first evening in Dublin. It was delicious! It was a LOT of food and the atmosphere was so great that we decided to go back for breakfast the next day. We had ham that literally melted in your mouth!
