Well done!

We had to make reservations 2 days ahead, as they are very popular with the locals. Really a delightful place, with good comfort food and excellent staff. Glad we were patient and waited a couple days to get in!

On a bus tour to Ireland, we had the pleasure of eating Dinner one evening at O'Connells. The owner came on the bus to tell us "how the evening will work", and explained that we would come up to the "appetizer bar" for hot and cold appetizers, so we could accept an assortment of delicious first courses. We had a... More

We dined here quite late without a reservation, but staff could not have been more accommodating. Everything was excellent. Decor and ambiance were warm and classy. Service was top-notch - attentive but not intrusive. Well-paced meal service. We never had to wait too long nor were we ever rushed. The food was delicious and beautiful and portions were very hearty.... More

We spent a week on a CIE bus tour which was great. Our last group meal was at O'Connells. Food was great (comparing to other places we are, this was by far the best), with good service. The proprietor greeted us, checked in with us and did an Irish Coffee demo after wonderful desserts. The place was a bit noisy... More

8 people and not one satisfying meal ! There were many courses missing from the menu. Seated at 7.30. Two people had starters, but main courses did not arrive until 9pm. Mushrooms in starter were cremated. The chicken main course was definitely NOT carved in our presence and I had to find the meat ! Main course smoked salmon salad... More

Good Afternoon Simon M, Firstly we are deeply sorry that you and your party had such a poor experience with us on Tuesday evening last. We set out every day to exceed customer's expectations and on this occasion we clearly failed abysmally. We are a family run business, we are here and present, our staff are with us for long... Wonderful meal. Everything was so fresh and amazing. The owner was working, taking orders, busing tables! Servers could not answer specific questions about items on the menu, but the food made up for that. Such a cute atmosphere. The appetizer bar was great, tried things that I've never eaten and liked them, entrees were so wonderful as were the desserts.... More

We had a meal in O'Connells Restaurant,Donnybrook, Dublin. We really enjoyed the meal which used Irish Artisan producers and Irish products. We had crushed trout with salad for one of the starters and also mushrooms with black pudding , both of which were tasty. We both had the Chicken breast for mains, its slow roasted and served at table with... More

We arrived to a really friendly welcome followed by excellent service, The choice of food is varied and a lovely touch is the meat being carved at your table from the silver service trolly. We've been here many times and each time we always say "we'll be back".This place is really excellent so treat yourself and go.

I was really looking forward to eating at this restaurant after all the great things I heard about it and it didn't disappoint! The food was delicious, every mouthful was bursting with amazing flavours and the wine was incredible and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was buzzing and the impeccable service added to the already warm and friendly tasteful decor. I... More

Was here with a large number of colleagues. The meal was outstanding, the food was delicious and the service equally so. I would not hesitate to recommend or return. A real gem.
