Excellent Food and Service

Live music on the piano offering a variety of music forms was good and the food was excellent. The serving staff were attentive to our needs without being obtrusive.

Its great to go to a restaurant where the modern towering up food and silly little dots around the plate doesn't feature. What does feature is really good quality Italian food made without any fuss. Where else do you still get Sabayon these days? Here you do and still taste great. Ok, can be slightly expensive but I would rather... More

This is one of the oldest Italian restaurants in Dublin and I think it's going nearly 40 years but you're never guess as there was quite a young crowd here on the night we called in and what a terrific piano player Top-notch Italian pastas

We could tell by the clientele that it was frequented by many locals. The food was great but the service was inattentive. The time between courses was long, as was the clearance of empty plates.

Carmel and I had an evening meal in Nicos. We had MINESTRONE SOUP/RAVIOLI IN BRODO as our starters and they were very good. For our mains we shared VEAL MILANESE and PENNE ALL'ARRABIATA. They went well together and we enjoyed them. We had CASSATA and HOMEMADE TIRAMISU for desserts and they were great. The background piano music made a wonderful... More

Nicos Restaurant is a quaint and beautiful Italian restaurant. The decor is an experience in it self. Didn't have a hard time getting seated. The service was average and the food was the same. They have nice specials such as their full course meal for about 24 euros. Not bad. Their menu could use a little updating. I recommend that... More

Put simply there are far better restaurants in the city to enjoy than Nicos. One to avoid unless struggling to get a booking elsewhere ... even the the nearest Kebab shop would provide a better experience.

Early bird €24.95 , mussels ( plump and just right) and pasta which was the Fettuccine alla nico's. Gd pasta and lush generous sauce, really good. Both very enjoyable and def return. One quibble but seems run with majority Italian restaurants, a black pepper mill left on table would be nice but v minor, more a personal pet hate. Well... More

First time in this restaurant for a long time. The Italian food is good - although the menu is a little dated. I don't think it ever changes. The service was really excellent and although there were 13 of us they look after all of us very efficiently and courteously. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and I would definitely... More

My husband and I visited Nico's on a cold Tuesday evening for a pre-theatre dinner, and had a very nice meal in warm and cosy surroundings. I had a half portion of Nico's famous prawns in garlic butter to start and they were heavenly as always. An Aubergine Parmagiana and a lovely spicy Arrabiatta were the mains followed by sinful...
