great atmosphere, typical irish pub

This is a nice typical Irish pub, with a good atmosphere. It is stuffed with locals and the boss sings from time to time a song. Very scenic, very good guiness

Posted 29 Mar 2015 "Very good, but not great" Mulligan's is quite simply an Irish institution. Its Guinness is very good but not what it was like in the past - just slightly more bitter!! Also, the smoking area out back is not necessary ~ it makes it like some sort of theme pub in Liverpool - just not a... More

If you're a Guinness drinker then this is the place for you. This pub is as traditional as it gets. Anytime we visit it's packed and the atmosphere is great. Another great advantage - no loud music to try and shout over.

The perfect Dublin pub, attracts people from all walks fo life - just how it should be. This is a pub where you come to chat, escape work, the net and the constant need to be tuned in and have a bit of banter with the lads behind the bar (all there for years). If you're visiting Ireland - take... More

It's been a while since I had visited this old haunt and it was great to see that the friendliness of the staff and the craic still remains. The buzz about the place was exciting and there was a good mix of locals and visitors. The TV was the only 'entertainment' but when that went off, the craic kicked in... More

We called in here for a beer one night The choice of beers was excellent and they all tasted great The Guiness was excellent as well It was good to hear the landlord tell one of the customers some of the history of the pub and that it could not be changed in any way as it was like a... More

.... John Mulligans is probably the best Boo-Hoozer in the world . Much copied much bandied about in conversation . I have been going there on and off since the late '60s and even though I don't partake of the ' falling down water ' anymore I still pop in when I am in Dublin for a White Lemonade and... More
