Delicate flavours. Great aromas. The Lobster Pot provides great irish seafood that is undeniably "just-off-the-boat" fresh. If you like seafood, then do give the Lobster Pot a try - and that's not "blarney"!

Not "budget", at €120 for dinner for two – starter, main and bottle of Muscadet. But good value at that price. We had superb seafood chowder (bisque, really), scallop + prawn, sea trout, vegetables. Portions were generous, and service professional, attentive while also friendly. We could choose the seafood from selection brought on a trolley; and have it cooked as... More

Like a time warp came to D4. Reminds me of the great old fish restaurants of the 1980s. Intimate setting (like being in someone's front room). Old school staff - they bring out all the raw ingredients to you (which I love) and ultimately they will cook anything you suggest in any combination (i.e. forget the menu). Classic French fish... Fantastic quality seafood, served by people who know their stuff and know how to look after you. It is a little bit of a time-warp - but in a way, that adds to the character of the place. Good value too Definitely recommended

Do not be put off by the exterior. Upstairs is a traditional restaurant specialising in fish. The welcome is genuinely warm, the service is attentive and the standard of cooking fresh fish is exceptional. Enjoy the theatre of reviewing the fresh fish display of the day, and look forward to a traditional but skilled preparation.

This is a very quant romantically set Restuarant situated slightly out of the main city centre. They specialise in seafood and it was nice to have such a large variety of fresh fish on the menu. The service is very good and the staff are very attentive and well mannered. It is a great place for a romantic meal for... More

Having read some pretty good reviews we looked forward to a fine meal and the friendly welcome and impressive "olde worlde" surroundings seemed consistent with our expectations. However this really was a disappointing meal. The chowder was mediocre and the meal maintained that impression to the end. it is not a bad restaurant but at the price I could not... More

A visit to the Lobster Pot is like a trip to a fine dining restaurant from days of old. The service is impeccable, and the selection of fresh seafood is the best in Ballsbridge. If you want a well serviced and professional dining experience, do yourself a favour and visit the Lobster Pot.
