A gem.

We booked the Lobster Pot for dinner prior to a recent rugby match and had the early bird. The room was cosy to the point of being a little overheated. I turned off the radiator behind me. I looked at the menu and realised I had stepped back into the 1980s. Prawn cocktail, desert trolley, the... read more

This restaurant is the epitome of class without being stuffy, Food is delicious and service is amazing. Selection of food on offer is of great quality and the waiters description of how it is all cooked is part of the show. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, you need to go to experience it yourself, Yes it may be pricey... More

I visited The Lobster Pot In Ballsbridge, Dublin, Ireland with my wife and daughter to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The menu was very large with a selection of fresh seafood, meats and fowl. While inspecting the menu we were presented with a tray of fish, shellfish and fowl which the waiter explained to us was available on the night and... More

This is a must stop whenever I am in Dublin. The waiters are old school and the white linen table clothes and cart presentation of menu items makes the experience. Seafood is the specialty and the Dover Sole bones removed table side is a forgotten art. Save room for dessert as it is wonderful end to a great experience. It... More

The old adage - you get what you pay for - holds true here It's high end prices for high end food and and excellent meal experience. The seafood is among the best I have eaten and the service is impeccable.

Sunday evening We've dinned in the Lobster Pot and had been surprised from the start to finish. The ambiance is great in a real Irish style, everything is well placed. The menu is quite simple and very well explained. Staff are great and looked after us in a real elegant way, even on our way out we were smiled and... More

We were a large group of 12 and a little noisy after a rugby match but we were met with nothing but warmth and friendliness. Great range of fish dishes and the beef and duck were both excellent. No formal menus, everything was explained from a trolley holding samples of all dishes. A lovely ambience and a great Irish welcome

On a very wet and windy evening it was a delight to enter a lovely warm cosy dining room where we were made very welcome. We took advantage of the early bird menu as the a la carte menu was a bit out of our price range. The food was delicious, seafood chowder and calamari followed by sole and duck... More
