We visited the Lobster Pot while at the World Flower Show at the RDS, I had heard about this restaurant and booked immediately after we arrived as I did not want to be disappointed. On arrival we were met by friendly and courteous staff and shown to our table. The interior of this intimate restaurant is traditional with white linen... More

I took at chance while at the World Flower Show at the RDS to pop in without a booking but did so right at 6pm. Don't do this unless you book or you may be disappointed. I was lucky and was able to be seated. The establishment is small, intimate and lovely. I am from Boston and quite fussy about... More

After a long day's travel from Lincoln to Dublin, we walked around the corner from our hotel and found the Lobster Pot. Despite being somewhat more casually dressed than the rest of the guests in the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed. The Maitre D and his serving staff were excellent and attentive. The Maitre D explained the various seafood and... More

What a pleasant surprise! I was expecting a casual dining experience and was instead very pleased to experience fine, unrushed and quiet dining with the delicious fish selections of the evening brought tableside and preparation explained in mouth-watering detail. What a great introduction to Ireland!

We loved our meal here at Lobster Pot. For some reason, I was expecting a down-home type casual restaurant. Maybe the name implied that to me. No, No. This is a white table cloth boutique small restaurant that is fine in every sense of the experience. We were impressed when they brought out the cart showing us the ten kinds... More

This restaurant is a real legend in Dublin, so after listening to many stories decided to dine there. The place is very nice and the service was superb, but at the end of the day we came to enjoy nice food, which was absolutely nothing special,no flavor what so ever, maybe the chef had a bad day :(

What a fantastic find this restaurant was! An altogether fantastic dining experience. Our party of five loved the food, and the service was great. Very attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommended!

Our hotel was around the corner and this place appeared to be good. Wow, we were wrong. And actually on our way out, we turned away colleagues. Everything went wrong. It took forever for one of the waiters to come over, and after we finally ordered our shared appetizer (shrimp and scallops), it was bad. The seafood had gone bad... More

I dined at the Lobster Pot on my first night in Dublin..it was incredible! I loved the wine selections, the fresh fish choices and OMG the dessert trolley was to die for. The service was that of a 5 star restaurant. I loved the small intimate feeling of this place. I only wish I were staying in Dublin longer so... More

We celebrated our 38th Wedding Anniversary on a trip to Dublin in April 14 with friends. It was a fantastic evening of good food, well presented and in a beautiful setting, (it was like being in a small private dinning room). As you can see from the photos the fresh fish choice was fantastic and the desert trolley was a... More
