Leo Burdock's is THE best at what it does. The quality and tradition cannot be beat. So the batter on the fish is a bit thick, and a few of the chips/fries might be from the bottom of the vat and a little chewy.... But I dare you to find a tastier fish and chips order in the entire city... more

Had their cod and chips and it was brilliant. Good sized portions and food was nice and hot. Not the cheapeast, but would say that it was well worth it. Deciding factor was that the food was served in the proper way! more

I love fish & chips. My Irish mother-in-law calls them "the proper English fish & chips", probably because there are virtually no proper fish & chip shops in Ireland.
