I was walking by and randomly picked this place and asked for their special ... Wow! What a surprise! I couldn't believe how good they were! The fish was just perfect ... Cooked through, but not overdone, flaky and tender, perfectly even batter, neither chips nor fish were greasy - really really good! They were asking for salt, pepper and... More

This is the must go for take away fish n chips in Dublin. I am a Whole Foods type eater and in order to eat deep fried food, it has to be really good. This was an outstanding splurge. The kids loved it too!

Leo Burdock's was literally , 'just around the corner" from hotel. It was on our lists of must does and we almost missed. We would have to call this a mid afternoon take away, I am so glad we did. The fish and chips were amazing. We took chips to our hotel bar and had with a beer. Super!

had takeaway from here as my husband told me they were famous for their fresh fish and chips. takeaway by the time we got back to our apartment (two minutes walk away) was soggy and stodgy. Fish was overcooked and batter fell off in a soggy mess - chips average. From limerick and there are far better fish and chip... More

As a Dubliner, a one and one refers to Fish and Chips. In the old days of my childhood, being a catholic, we were suppose to abstain from eating meat on Friday. This was the time we had Fish and Chips for dinner!! Usually called a one and one i.e a single of chips and what was known as Whitening... More

LEO BURDOCKS TRADITIONAL FISH & CHIPS If you want to find the best fish & chips when you are visiting a city that you are not familiar with ask a cab driver. I asked several cab drivers in Dublin and I got the same answer - Leo Burdocks. The store is very small and of course there was a line... More

I was really craving fish n chips before i came to ireland, so i googled the best fish n chips in ireland and i was not let down! The fish moist with a very crispy cocoon... Moving on to the best part; the chips were a whole experience! They were fluffy and the crispy seasoning with the extra salt and... More

We came because of recommendations and were not disappointed. The portion was large, freshly cooked and lite for a breaded fish without the usual oily taste. Fries were also lite and not greasy. Take out only, so have a place to eat.

Was told by an Irish friend that these were the best fish and chips. Sorry but do not agree by a long shot. Fish was not freshly cooked- we got pieces that were just sitting in the warmer as with chips. Both were bland .Fish did not taste very fresh. Very overpriced. Was 5 euro for a piece of fish.... This place is overrated. The fish was heavily battered and bland. Didn't finish it - or the chips. These were also leathery and gross. I notice a lot of Australians are disappointed in this place. Our take away fish and chips is waaaaay better than this.
