Having just returned from Italy, we thought we'd use our RT voucher in an Italian in Ireland. Food was good enough, and the service was friendly. Only issue is that Irish Italian food seems to be quite stodgy when compared with real Italian food. I'm fairly certain cream featured heavily in at least one of our dishes. That said, the Pizza... Located on a really cute back street between Harcourt Street and Camden Street, this place is just lovely. We were there early on a Monday evening and it was getting busy which is a good sign. The staff were friendly and the service efficient. The decor is attractive. We had a pre theatre menu, my friend had a rocket salad... More

We had a very tasty lunch here during the week. Lovely greeting by the chef and staff. The price was very reasonable. I had a lovely quiche and salad as a starter followed by pork ribs on a bed of mash with cabbage. Good sized portions. Yes, I would definitely go back.

My husband and I had dinner on the Rewarding Times deal here last night. It was our third visit to Il Primo and as usual we had a wonderful experience. The food was superb. Our waiter remembered us from two years ago when we came here on one of our first dates, which astounded us. I didn't get his name,... More

We went to Il Primo last night and were not disappointed... It was so tasty. We went for the pre theatre menu. I had the mozzarella salad and my hubby had the ham terrene bruschetta. I had the pork cheek tagliatelle and he had the spicy sausage spaghetti. We finished off sharing the chocolate cake. The service, food and price... More

We ate here last night having heard great things over the years about il primo. We were very disappointed. First impressions were great. Very cosy restaurant, slightly dark and with candles on the tables. Food was average except for the beef cheek which I thought was really good. The pulled pok bruschetta for starter was soggy and just tasted of... More

Went here on a Rewarding Times voucher which means you get a specific menu. I'd never been before but have heard great things about it over the years. Not entirely sure why. My starter of mozzarella and tomato was very nice. My main course - herb crusted cod - was just ok. To be honest, it tasted like bad canteen... More

Got a Rewarding Times voucher for Il Primo a while ago, had never been and it was basically half price. When we got there we were given the option of sitting downstairs at the higher tables or going upstairs, we decided to head upstairs. the place is tiny, I found it pretty cramped. Table was fine, service was good, the... More

This was a great lunch. The service was top notch, attentive but not suffocating, and very friendly. The lunch menu is short but has some good variety. The salami salad was nice but possibly lacked sufficient salami. The seafood risotto was great and had lots of fish in it. Both dishes were simple but allowed the flavour of good ingredients... More
