We found this restaurant by chance one evening while looking for something fast to eat and everywhere seemed all booked up. We were concerned about going in as we had a 3 year old with us and the restaurant looked rather too nice with too many wine glasses. The place was mainly filled by couples after a romantic meal for... More

i had a quick lunch in Il Primo today with a friend. I started with a spicy pork and cannelini bean soup which was perfect. I then had beef arancini in a tomato sauce with basil pesto. The arancini were nicer than any I had in Sicily earlier this year. Loved it.

Not very pleasent experience, i didnt think there was such a thing as poor quality food and lack lustre service around these days as this is the first place i can honestly say wasnt worth the price they charge for fatty beef, 6 over done broad beans and reheated roasters on a plate, also no christmas atmosphere to cover up... I've been procrastinating my visit to "Il Primo", for quite a while! I'm glad that I was able to go for dinner over the weekend. Had an excellent dinner. Il Primo it's in a great location and the atmosphere is quite relaxed. The quality of the food is just amazing, enjoyed both the starter, main course, and the selection of... More

Went here on a reccomondation when I arrived outside I wasn't going to go in as it looked dull and empty, that would have been a big mistake as this was a wonderful night out, very good food well priced, also very good wine well priced, the Portuguese waiter was very helpful and informative, another delight just off Harcourt St,well worth a visit.

I found this restaurant by chance during a recent visit to Dublin. The food was excellent. The portions were ample, and the quality of the food was high. I had the early evening 2 course menu which was excellent value. The service was efficient and friendly. I will definitely pay another visit during my next trip to Dublin.

The restaurant is quite off the beaten track but is extremely worth a detour.Sited in a cut stone house on small road linking Camden Street and the lower end of Harcourt St., lies this little gem.Once entering, you get a warm sincere welcome .This was very evident as the evening progressed.I was surprised to find the restaurant was almost full eventhough... Had a meal here tonight and from first impressions I was Dubois . We were led to the seating area upstairs to the right which was small and under an air condition unit which blew down freezing cold air on our backs. Taken it was chilly outside it made it very uncomfortable . One of our friends asked the waiter... More

Having just returned from Italy, we thought we'd use our RT voucher in an Italian in Ireland. Food was good enough, and the service was friendly. Only issue is that Irish Italian food seems to be quite stodgy when compared with real Italian food. I'm fairly certain cream featured heavily in at least one of our dishes. That said, the Pizza...
