Good Italian food

A nice little italian restaurant tucked away in Temple Bar. Normally I never eat in Temple Bar, it is for the tourists on their first night in Dublin, but this is the exception. I have been there several times and enjoy the food, wine and atmosphere. Excellent steak.

We were reminded of trips to Venice! The service was excellent. The staff were charming and attentive. The food was perfectly prepared with a genuine Italian flavour It was exactly what we wanted and we would recommend this restaurant. Ask for Francisco!!

This quaint restaurant occupies an arched brick former win cellar. We had fresh pasta ( spaghetti with shrimp and egg pappardelle with vegetables perfectly al dente. My Caprese salad sported melt in the mouth mozzarella. Service was prompt and attentive. Too bad this is our last night in Dublin!!

We visited here on a Saturday night - it was full and we had to wait for a table but they were very accommodating, kept us updated and brought us drinks outside while we waited. All the staff were lovely and friendly. The service wasn't the quickest as they were so busy (with some big tables of hen parties etc)... More

If you're looking for authentic Italian food in Dublin, go to Il Baccaro. I cannot applaud this restaurant enough. Beautiful interior, kind waitstaff, and outstanding food! On a Friday night, this restaurant was not jam packed. In fact, only one family and a few couples were inside, but it had a charming and quaint feel that made the dining experience... More

We went there our last night in Dublin without a reservation and had no trouble getting a table. The food was really good, the service was good too. Prices seemed slightly high, but this in the Temple Bar section so to be expected. My fettuccini was homemade and delicious.

My first visit to this authentic Italian restaurant in the Temple Bar area of Dublin with a group of ten friends. The venue itself is atmospheric, down a few steps from ground level and shaped in wine cellar style. The welcome was warm and we found the staff both helpful and friendly. Additionally, they speak Italian so it is an... More

We had an early dinner here before going home.place was clean.staff okay. The food i thought average but some of the party thought it was above average,I found the bruschetta very hard. The tiramasu was tasty. We have been dining in Il Baccaro for many years and always found it excellent as an an authentic Trattoria. However last night we arrived to our table at 7:25pm, ordered and 45 minutes later our starter arrived.1 hour and 15 minutes after our arrival the main course had still not arrived so we decided to leave. On paying for... More
