Welcome to Il Baccaro Restaurant based in temple bar Dublin. An Eighteenth century wine merchant’s cellar in the heart of Dublin hosts this atmospheric Italian tavern since 1997. A romantic restaurant and wine bar tucked into a secluded corner in Meeting House Square. Authentic Italian food is the order of the day and this charming taverna is a hit with native Italians across the city.

Scrumptious Food...must visit again!

Table booked and confirmed for the 4 off us for NYE...cannot fault the service and food. Our conversations dried up as we were enjoying the food so much so thank you for making it a memorable one. Will definitely visit again!

One of the best Italian restaurants in Dublin without any doubt! The head chef Francesco with rest of the stuff are creating great food and personal service in an unique atmosphere that will not disappoint even the most demanding visitors. Regularly visiting this cosy place and always getting positively surprised. Well worth a culinary visit without risk to break the... More

We were looking forward to a cozy romantic dinner. The service and atmosphere didn't disappoint. The caprese salad was excellent. However the pasta dishes we ordered disappointing. The table next to us ordered an entree that looked and smelled delicious, making us re-think our selection.

A lovely little restaurant hidden away in a courtyard on a side street off Temple Bar area, Il Baccaro served me the best Italian food I've had outside of Italy. We had two courses each & a glass of wine each for around £45/55 euro. This was good value for money in my book. Portion sizes were appropriate and staff... More

We were a party of 4. Offerred deals of the week wine for €75-90 per bottle crazy prices. Nice starters, 2 mains when they came were unsatisfatory. Sole arrived on a cold plate, meal lukewarm. Pasta with sausage and sundried tomatoes arrived with 4 pieces of sausage and no sundried tomatoes. Waitress was confrontational and said they had run out... More

I visited this restaurant with a group of work colleagues after watching a show at the theatre. We arrived quite late after pre booking a table for 5 of us. Lovely looking place on first impressions, cosy and unusual. After finally ordering food and drink we asked for some water for the table. We then had to ask a further... More

very rude staff and bad value for money for an average Italian pasta meal. Also got water tipped over us by the waiters twice, my friend getting soaked in the process and when I commented I only had 4 prawns they insinuated it was a good portion and that it was typical of an Italian meal! I have eaten in... More

We found this restaurant on our walk in Dublin centre. The outside didn't look any different than all the other places in the centre but when you walked in....we saw this absolutely charming place. An old cellar that was so cozy and elegant. The service was very good. The menu was simple, the food was very good. Everybody in the... More
