The seafood spaghetti is delicious! I think this is a new Spring menu and I found it hard to choose my main course because there was a wonderful selection of interesting looking dishes. The other dish we ordered was the venison pappardelle and it too was scrumptious. A wonderful restaurant with super atmosphere and a lovely understated welcome. It never... More

We ate in Osteria il Baccaro yesterday evening (16 March 2014)an despite the fact that the restaurant has so much potential we were left feeling slightly disappointed. Earlier in the day we had called in to see if it would be necessary to have a reservation considering it was St. Patrick's Weekend in Dublin. We were assured it was necessary... More

As an Italian I can say that it is probably the best Italian food you can find in Dublin, after visiting the place a few times I have never experienced any fault, waiters are courteous and attentive and food and wine are of very good quality.

Last January I went to this excellently nestled Italian restaurant in Temple Bar with friends. Even without the Fantastic food the setting of this place and its fantastic hosts would require a 5 star review in its self. We all had very nice meals full of flavor and the presentation was very well though out. Our choices. Starters :CALAMARI SALTATI... More

Booked a table for two, great service and lovely food. Nice location in a small cellar, a bit of a draft from the door though.

Booked with Il Baccara and when we arrived we were seated right away and given our menus. Staff were polite and there wasn't much wait time even though it was pretty busy. I love the interior of this place and there is always a great atmosphere here. Starters were served pretty quickly but there were fairly simple - soup and... More

After receiving several excellent reviews from friends, I have to say I was quite disappointed with what we were served, perhaps I had expected too much. The positives: The waiter was very welcoming and provided excellent service and the restaurant it self was quite nice.Wine was fantastic! Negatives: Every time the door opened from outside we got a shiver even... More

Went for a meal here on the 18th of December and after being seated by a nice waiter and had our drink order taken it went downhill from there. It was 15 minutes before we were asked for our order. Our starter arrived 35 minutes later. We had bruscetta and it was just ok. The bread was teeth-hurtingly hard. We... More
