Still great

Had dinner here on Sunday. Was delighted to see that their early bird menu is available all evening on Sunday. We had soup and calamari to start and sausage pasta and a pizza for mains. We couldn't fault a thing.

Went to this place for lunch recently and was not impressed by the quality of the food. Was average taste and place was empty. Hoped the food would live up to my expectation but found everything very bland and basic. Only good this was the sweet potatoes chips were nice and crisp. Might give this a miss for a while.

Most of the restaurants in this area of Dublin seem to be pubs which provide good value food in fairly large quantities. The one we ate in was okay but the vegetables were overlooked and dull. Gotham Cafe was our attempt to find reasonable food in a non pub setting and met the requirement perfectly. Not a huge menu but... More

Myself and my partner visited this restaurant recently, we had been here before once or twice but this time was particularly nice. With the sun out (which doesn't happen often in Dublin) this was the perfect place to sit outside and enjoy some wine. We ordered from the starters as we only wanted nibbles with our wine - all food... More

Hadn't eaten in Gotham in quite some time and was pleased to re-try it. It was a lunch visit and the menu was extensive (although what place a Thai curry has in this type of restaurant is a little baffling). Both myself and my companion went for the burger, which was very good despite the fact that the cheese we... More

I have been to Gotham a few times and was generally happy with the food and the service versus value for money but last week was very disappointing. It was a Saturday evening so pretty busy but we had made a reservation so had no problem getting seated. Staff were nice and friendly but the food was disappointing. We ordered... More

The Gotham Cafe is just off Grafton Street. Because of its location I was surprised to get such good value. I was with my parents and brother and there was something for everyone on the menu. The mains of a very good burger, 2 slow cooked ribs and a pizza went down very well. Clean plates speak a thousand words.... More

I went to Gotham last night for the first time in ages and it reminded me of how consistently good this restaurant is. It's in a great location just off Grafton Street and has a lovely outside area which is perfect for people watching. It's always busy but that just creates a great atmosphere which is added to by the... More

We stopped for a quick Sunday lunch and ate outside. The food was plentiful and the service was decent. We had the Portobello mushroom sandwich and the steak sandwich on Ciabatta. Great chips. We recommend it.

I go here every few months with friends, it's always busy but the service is always great. The food is also delicious. I have eaten here maybe 10 times and not once was there anything wrong with my food or the service. Will definitely return.
