My husband and I ate here looking to try some Irish boxty. They serve it different ways at Gallaghers, both dumplings and pancakes. We tried both and they were wonderful. The dumplings remind me of gnocchi, it is heavenly potato pillows. The staff was so helpful and recommended their favorites to us.

We took a friend here for her birthday. The food was unbelievable! The traditional Irish stew, chips and fish, soda bread, and boxty was AMAZING!!! A must try :)

Since neither of us knew what a Boxty was it was a pleasant surprise. We made reservations and were seated promptly when we arrived. Everyone that served us was very friendly and polite. The food was very unusual for us and was also very good.

Address is kind of confusing - it was hard to find. It's actually down the street. Good service, fish and chips were good, not greasy. They do have different items on the menu.

I absolutely concur with the prior review with this same title. We were in Temple Bar at lunchtime and decided, based on other TripAdvisor reviews, to go to this restaurant. Recognizing that we were going with the lunch specials, we were still disappointed in the Irish Stew which was good but a little on the skimpy side with very little... More

Right in Temple Bar, a lively, bustling restaurant with a menu large enough to please everyone. We enjoyed excellent renditions of traditional food: my son loved his corned beef and my husband loved his potato boxty. The seafood chowder was delicious and my oysters were sparkling fresh and briny. Don't miss the dessert crepe. We had a very fun evening... More

Ate here 3 times during 3 days. Had the Boxty and stews. They were very good. What really made it was the service. They were very friendly and attentive. All their suggestions were great. Definitely worth a visit.

Had lunch there. I had guinness sausage with mashed potato, their award wing dish. Very tasty. Wanted to try their stew so much. Will definitely go again if I visit Dublin next time

Just to put this into context: this restaurant is right in the heart of Temple Bar, which is like eating at a restaurant in Leicester Sq in London or Times Sq in New York. They stand outside touting for people to go in. I doubt that anyone from Dublin ever eats here, just as no Londoner would ever eat at... More
