If you want average food in a crowded stuffy dining room, where you will have to wait even in you have reserved a table, then share a table with strangers, put up with lots of large groups, get served some pretty average food, be encouraged not to stay too long and pay over the odds for it, this is the... Well we went here as part of a Dublin weekend. it does have a good atmosphere and good staff, but the food for us was not up to scratch. We may have just been unlucky, but we would feel there would be better choices in Temple Bar.

We went there twice during our stay. The restaurant has wooden furniture, it looks typically Irish. The food is absolutely delicious, the lamb on the veggie mash was fabulous, never had such a tender lamb before. The other day we tried a boxty filled with beef, it was really amazing. The staff was absolutely nice and helpful. Next time we... More

A boxty is either a small dumpling made of potatoes like gnocchi or a thin potato pancake almost like a crepe filled with stews, etc. The boxty here are out of this world. I had the gnocchi one with a blue cheese and mushroom sauce. It was wonderful. My daughter had the crepe like boxty filled with Irish lamb stew. It... More

We went to the restaurant as part of a short trip to Dublin. Was a bit dubious about whether the reviews on trip advisor were true based on the location of the restaurant (Temple Bar with it's hen / stag party locations), Well the restaurant was well worth the ratings it has received. It is extremely good value, the service... More

Had dinner there yesterday-great food and excellent friendly service. Staff really helpful with choices of food and wine. Happily changed menu to accomodate taste. Would recommend to anyone.

I have become resigned to average service in Europe and waiters who can't be bothered to manage even a bit of a smile. So not the case here. The staff is really pleasant and the food is solid. I would easily go back for the salmon dish- yum.

We had a great experience here for lunch on St. Paddy's day. The service was SO friendly (not that it wasn't anywhere we went in Ireland), but our server was very helpful in giving us suggestions about where to go to celebrate the holiday after lunch. She even came back to the table after making her first suggestion to add... More

Ate here on our last night in Dublin and loved it. The menu was interesting with a little Irish authenticity (selection of stews as a starter). The food arrived promptly and was well cooked and nicely presented. The drinks were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was buzzing. Definately recommend booking - people were being turned away throughout service. A special... More

I visited here twice for dinner with a friend. The food is very traditional Irish, and very high quality. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. It's not trendy at all, very homey but elegant. The staff is professional, and our waiter gave me recommendations for Celiac (gluten-free) diet options from memory. They were willing to make alterations with sauces and... More
