This was one of our favorite restaurants we ate in while in Dublin. We went there for lunch one day and then returned for dinner. I loved the ground lamb on top of mashed potatoes...and the Boxty is delicious. My husband ordered a dish and did not like it so they offered him a new selection at no charge. The... More

We visited this restaurant during the first night of our stay, having made reservations ahead of time while still in the States. The Boxty House had our reservations and, upon arrival, greeted us like old friends. We were seated right away and at a great table that overlooked the street outside and Temple Bar. We started with the boxty platter,... More

We had the traditional Irish stew, food was good, however though 15€ was overpriced for a medium sized bowl of stew. Staff were good.

When you're walking through Temple Bar there's loads of places offering food but it's all burgers and very samey. Then we discovered this place. The menu looked interesting, the food was definitely different and the welcome was typically Irish - our hopes were high. My beef boxty (potato pancake) was bland and over-priced. My wife's chicken supreme was leaking what... More

Great food, warm atmosphere. Welcome change of pace from the loud and crowded pubs. I recommend the stew.

We had supper at Boxty's House (3) different times during our stay in Dublin. The food & service was excellent. I highly recommend the "pulled pork", any fish dish, the seafood chowder & the deserts. The restaurant is always busy no matter what night of the week it is. I would recommend making reservations if you can.

I had never heard of a "boxty" before. Now, I'd have to say they have earned a place on my "favorites" list! I ordered the chicken boxty and sampled the other varieties my husband and friends ordered. They were all amazing. I liked mine the best, though:) Paired with an Irish coffee, I enjoyed my "potato pancake" wrapped meal. As... More

I have visited here on a number of occasions and it never fails to impress with good food - although obviously, the company helps :-) The staff are diligent and always smiling, so thank you for another great experience.

I spent my last evening in Ireland in the Temple Bar area, and the Boxty House was perfect. There was a small wait, but I also didn't have reservations. The food was amazing and very well priced considering the tourist area around the Temple Bar district.

The food is good, not amazing, but that was a great intro in our weekend in Dublin. Boxty Platter as a starter and Beef Boxty was the main (a bit expensive when you look at the plate). Not too busy on a late friday even if it's located on fleet street. A local traditional address :)
