Hidden delight

we could not believe the location, but once inside we found a haven of good service and excellent food. An appealing room at the rear soon made us welcome, and the food was skilfully prepared and presented. We hope to return.

I read many reviews about this restaurant and have to say that it just didnt live up to what i expected. I brought three friends with me who are "real foodies" and they all felt that it was just ok. The service was excellent but unfortunately my meal was disappointing. Crab to start was good but the monkfish was overcooked... More

Popped in with business associates who had pre-booked. We had two courses and I had the Prawn Cocktail Salad which was very good and the Cod Tempura as a main which was superb. All our table that hadn't visited before were raving about their food. Excellent service too. We weren't paying so hard to determine value but would thoroughly recommended... More

My amazing daughter Little Wing and cool son in law Lee gave me a wonderful treat for my birthday in Dobbin's Restaurant last night. Lee had been there several time before and raved about its wonderful food in the same way I tend to fall in love with an artists music and I feel its my mission in life to... More

My first time in this restaurant and certainly won't be my last. From start to finish the food was outstanding mouth watering and delicious and cannot stop speaking about it. I had the crab to start which was fabulous followed my the pork belly which was outstanding and to finish off I had a chocolate fondant that ooozed chocolate goodness... More

It is over ten years since I last visited this restaurant and while the location remains the same, the place has been rebuilt. Gone is the old Nissan hut, replaced by a modern building with a very odd feature - the kitchen is concealed behind hanging drapes! The menu offers a wide choice of dishes. I chose the terrine for... I booked this restaurant after reading some great reviews and we were not disappointed. Being set off the main street was a massive positive and the cobbled stone entrance was the perfect setting. The staff were fantastic and our waiter was brilliant. Our party of 4 agreed it was one of the best restaurants we had ever eaten in and... More

Very nice restaurant, hard to find! Good food, excellent staff, nice atmosphere but a bit overpriced! And then getting the bill is the surprise: service charge... In the end early bird is not €27;50..

I've been here before when service was not an issue but this time the wait between starters and mains was interminable. After that, normal service resumed! The starter of duo of salmon was good enough and the main of pork belly was delicious. Dessert of tiramisu was nicely made.

Beautiful restaurant hidden in the most unlikely place even the taxi driver couldn't find it. The food was delicious with a great choice of menu and wonderful cocktail list all in a relaxed ambience. The staff were excellent and didn't complain or try and throw us out when we didn't realise the time and chatted in to the early hours.... More
