Description: Citron Restaurant in one of Dublin’s hippest, Conran-designed hotels is found at the very heart of town just opposite St Stephen’s Green. On the mezzanine level overlooking the lobby, Citron has Conran’s signature elegant, minimalist luxury with a zesty lime and lemon colour scheme, softly glowing lighting, woven white bar front and dark timber floor. The ambience is Euro-bistro and the modern Mediterranean cuisine is perfectly attuned to how we eat now. Relaxed, funky, fun Citron is one of the very best spots in the city to see and be seen, a great night out starts at Citron and ends in the bar where the ambience is the best.

Met the girls for dinner on Friday in Citron - We went for th Pre Theatre Menu - The Beetroot salad was fresh & light followed by perfectly cooked salmon & noodles - This was topped off by dessert - A blueberry financier & lemon sorbet - Delicious!! All of this for just €25 - A bargain!! All the staff... More

Lovely food and terrific service each time we ate there. Friendly wait staff and they always seemed to know what we needed even before we did.

Went here for my 30th bday dinner with my husband. The food was so delicious!! One of the best meals we have had in a restaurant. The girl who served us was so lovely (I believe she was Romanian, I can't remember her name sorry). I was impressed with the extra glass of prosecco on the house for my bday.... More

Three of us had a lovely 3-course pre-theatre here recently before going to a show in the National Concert Hall. I started with Asparagus with Ricotta, Truffle & smoked egg. Then I had cod served with Chorizo, black olive, pickled cabbage & saffron. Dessert was cheese cake with passion fruit, Mango & coconut. Delicious and great value at €25 each.... More

Wait staff knew little about menu and had difficulty explaining the dishes. Chicken consommé became carrot soup and crab salad was tasteless. Cod was burnt, tough to do with fish and gnocchi was terrible. Cream sauce was too rich. Dessert was pretty to look at but that was it. Wines were served warm. Best was coffee. Avoid this place.

How many times can you say WOW in a sentence without sounding stupid? We had the pleasure of attending the first of I hope many Supper Club nights in the Citron. The restaurant was specifically set up for the night with table arrangements more like a family gathering than formal dining, this I have to say added to the evening.... More

It had been a year since I last ate in Citron and I was wondering if the second time around would be as good as the first. Thankfully I can report that it was. Myself and my wife enjoyed a fantastic meal here last Sat night. The service, atmosphere and of course the food was spot on. The chefs had... More

Few eating places in Dublin are as underrated as Citron. On this - our fifth - outing to Citron the food was once more excellent and the service outstanding. The pleasant, natural, apparently effortless efficiency and attentiveness of the staff should be understudied by other establishments, including one with star aspirations on Liffeyside, also in Dublin 2. It is easy... More
