My husband and I visited here for my birthday,of note it is very difficult to get a booking for dinner so despite ringing well in advance we had to go for lunch. Was really looking forward to eating here for a couple of months before the booking. Overall it was a pleasant experience but nothing special.... Arrival on entry wasn't particularly friendly we thought, a little cold. We were brought to the bar area where we ordered some wine... this arrrived shortly after and was beautiful and at the perfect temperature for... More

Top class food , at a slightly upper price level , but keep away from the exclusive drinks list and it will be well affordable for all occasions you can just have a class instead of a bottle , must be tried once at least , but you will want to go back !

Consistently the best food in the city with top class staff. Be nice to them, they work really hard, you hardly notice their presence and they deserve a decent tip. Food is seasonal and to be counted on as constantly delicious and always a choice and surprise

Everything about Chapter One is exceptional - greeting, pre-drink atmosphere as one gets to anticipate the fine but welcoming dining, the menus, the food itself, the service, cocktails and great wine range. As we say the whole shebang. The only downside is that because it is so so good it can be difficult to get a table. I also have... More

as a dublin institution and of course a michelin starred venue I was expecting to blown away by Chapter one... sadly...this wasnt to be..lovely room, menu reads well...service overly attentive to the point of excessive... food didnt exactly do what it said on the tin..loose presentation which i suppose can be described as modern...50% of dishes very good...50% mediocre...venison dish... Recently I patted myself on the back and awarded myself a high qualification in food expertise. I surveyed the field here on trip advisor and decided that there was room for another critic. With all super powers comes great responsibilities. To seek out any imperfections no matter how small and highlight them for the world to agree. When there are... More

we were here for the birthday, atmosphere lovely and service spectacular, no fault at all, the food was cooked to perfection as well! but only one thing i can fault is: there is many more places in dublin where i would rather go, (for example Green House) for the incredible food experience, with Chapter One food you just feel that... What can one say about this great restaurant. Over the years I have gone there for special events. As a couple and well as in groups. The service is bril. They make you feel as if you are the only people there. The food is to die for. In all my years going there I have never has a dull... More
