We booked Chapter One to celebrate a friends birthday. Have to say that I wasn't particularly excited as my last visit there had left me a little underwhelmed. Not the same story this time! The experience we had was certainly first class. From booking, to the effusive greeting at the door, to the wonderful food and great ambiance.....it would be... More

Loved the lunch. Similar menu, lower price. A good alternative to a fancy dinner. Would definitely do it again.

Went for my friend's birthday as had a voucher. We have been on two previous occasions and have not enjoyed the experience...BUT totally different this time. The food was outstanding on all three courses and the service was good...slightly over the top. Sometimes when you try too hard it shows....relax guys! ...(Emulate Stephane in Patrick Guilbaud's..the consumate host, maitre'd and boss)... More

Service was a little starchy, food underwhelmed - king crab with shaved pineapple too sweet a combination - lamb saddle not rested long enough. Maybe just an off-night.

I had the pre theatre menu in Chapter One. The whole experience was nothing special. We were rushed to our table, rushed to place wine order and rushed to place food order. The food was average. Didnt enjoy the salmon starter or chocolate mousse dessert. The couple at the table next to us had to send back their main course... More

My wife and I went here for a lunch. We were very excited to try one of Ireland's Michelin star restaurant. We had a five course set lunch menu. The beginning was wonderful with the fresh home made breads and with the Italian rose wine. To start, the curred salmon served as a chunk of fish instead to be sliced... More

We ate here recently for a special occasion. The staff were so helpful particularly with the wine list and pairing wines with courses. A pre dinner drink is highly recommend. All four courses of the meal were just incredible (including the breads), every ounce of flavour is extracted from every ingredient on the plate. The crab salad was just amazing... More

Every visit to Chapter One is something to be anticipated, like the next crime thriller from your favourite author! There are familiar, wonderful, characters and an excellent story line (menu!) featuring the best seasonal ingredients, as well as an elemental creativity. Our most recent visit was for a pre-theatre supper before visiting the nearby Gate Theatre. A 5.45pm start ensures... More

I had the pre-theatre menu with a friend in Chapter One. I found the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. We were recommended some good wine to go with our food. My friend is a vegetarian and also found the food delicious.
