As a fairly regular visitor to Chapter One over the years, I can truly say I never tire of eating there, whether for lunch, pre-theatre or the "full-monty" dinner or celebration. The welcome that is offered to guests by Martin or Declan is akin to the warm hug of a good friend or a favourite cousin and that welcome extends... More

It is so easy to be critical these days and rant on the Internet. Therefore, ill start on a negative note. It is a nightmare to book Chapter One. Mainly because everyone else is also trying to book it as well. I think this can fall under the term 'criticism'? Secondly, it's a bit expensive. Why should you be expected... More

Best restaurant in Dublin, a little expensive for the average Joe, but treat yourself when in Dublin ,Make sure you book in advance and ask about the early bird menu, much better value and just as good,

It was clear from the first moment we walked into Chapter One that we were going to thoroughly enjoy our lunch. A warm welcome and great service was a common theme throughout, with plenty of personal informal touches that really make you feel at home. It was no surprise that the food was absolutely top notch, and we came away... More

We were welcomed by very friendly yet excellent staff and the rest of the meal followed the same standard. Very comfortable surroundings and gorgeous food. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Upon arrival we were greeted by fantastically friendly staff, although to be truthful, we found everyone to a person in Ireland to have this same approach, so it was no surprise. Although we arrived on time for our dinner reservation, we were led to a tiny bar to sit, order a drink and in due course actually see a menu... More

our children gave us a voucher for this restaurant for our 30th wedding anniversary as a wonderful surprise and treat. they paid a lot of money for this gift which we were delighted to receive and couldn't wait to experience the fine dining we expected in this very popular expensive establishment. how disappointed we were. we booked the pre theatre... Food really does live up to the star rating. It was a wonderful dining experience, staff were very welcoming and we were looked after very well. All of our dishes were just amazing nobody was disappointed. We spotted a few 'celebs' while in there which was a bit of fun! I would definitely return and recommend to anyone wanting to... More

Yes, the food is fantastic and the place itself is superb...but the reservation policy they have is simply ridiculous...you cannot just ring up and make a reservation, my experience has been that no-one answers the phone and then u get a call back some days later and I have actually had this ridiculous conversation twice with the call-back person...who rings...
