Description: Chameleon in Temple Bar is an intimate, ambient restaurant that specialises in Indonesian rice-table. Rice table (or rijst-tafel) is when the diner is served an array of sumptuous different dishes, at the same time, from confit of pork belly with star anise to free range chicken satay to our delicious desserts, all made in-house! Its almost like Indonesian tapas!Since opening in 1994, its owners, husband and wife team, Carol & Kevin have made a point in using as much locally sourced Irish produce as possible, including only using free range Irish chicken and locally caught, seasonal Irish fish.Chameleon is ideal for a romantic get together or indeed, for your birthday party or Christmas party, as they can cater for groups of up to 40 in our private dining rooms.Winning may awards over the years in 2013 the Chameleon was voted Best World Cuisine in Ireland by the highly acclaimed Restaurants Association of Ireland

Better for large groups to share dishes, really cute decor albeit very small, apparently do a great all you can eat style new years eve event! Nice food and nice service, little dark inside but matches the style of the restaurant.

The waitress, Aoife, was superb, so friendly, informative and attentive without being stuffy. The food was excellent with such an assortment of... More

Service was superb, the waitress took a lot of time explaining all of the dishes. We opted for the meat and fish and meat set menus respectively. Although not the cheapest place to eat in Dublin it was well worth it.

Went to seven eataries in Ireland and this was the best in terms of experience and quality of food - you pick a set menu from a choice of six. This usually buggers me up because I am a fussy eater but this was great. You got veggies, rice and noodles with every meal but my three courses of chicken... More

Very quaint cosy atmosphere. Tapas style menu, great if like me you like to sample lots of different tastes and dishes....the satay chicken and beef rib was exceptional. Loved all the dishes we tried. The staff were very welcoming....we didn't book a table but they managed to fit us in (only had to wait about 15 mins) ....there was only... More

We've used The Chameleon several times for group team social outings and always had a great time with lovely food and very pleasant staff. We love the idea of the big low tables where a group of about 14 can gather and share a meal. The food is tapas like so everyone can try something new in the menus. I... More
